fandom: Girl Meets World season two
May. 6th, 2016 10:07 pmI've been catching up on season two of Girl Meets World, and Farkle has been far less annoying this season, for a variety of reasons, but then the writers have him force Riley to admit to feelings she's not ready to deal with because she's afraid of hurting her best friend. He does this by telling everyone her secret. I want someone to punch him in the face.
He does this under the guise of being a good friend, and that it's best for Riley, but it is so, so gross, the way it is handled. It's her life, and her relationships, and she gets to decide what she is going to say when. I have the feeling the show is going to 100% condone this as an act of true friendship, and seriously, someone needs to be punched in the face.
I'm at episode 25, Girl Meets the New Year, and I'm not sure if I can keep going with the season, because I am so angry at how this is being handled. He doesn't get to come in and tell Riley how she feels, how she handle her feelings, or force her to do anything at all about her feelings. That is not friendship.
