I am seeing a guitar and dragonhide leather and a game of poker and smoke everywhere. Jackets scattered haphazard, shirts, trousers, boots. Lots of boots, black leather boots, brown leather, thick fingers, full lips, that slow grin (three different, but oh so slow and sexy).

Okay. This has to be written. A lot.

Oh my. Oh wow.

I love this snippet, I love the details, the tiny little layers which build into this gorgeous scene. I really like Bill's drawling smile, and the way Remy gestures to make a point, the way his eyes light up his arm.

I love the feeling when something grabs you, something you wouldn't have written on your own, but which turns out well none-the-less. I think this is why I do ficathons, because it broadens what I would have written on my own.
