I'm watching American Gangster with J1, and I have but one thing to say about the way this story is framed: it is amazing how the story can be presented to make one side more sympathetic than the other.

Still on holiday. More interesting links.

Yesterday I went with J1 and sister K to visit brother M and sister K's best friend, who live in the same town. We had really good food, lots of laughter, and a ton of geekiness as K studied statistics in the car while I studied future interests. It was good times, let me tell you. Saturday night, J1 and sister K made homemade mac & cheese and grilled chicken for sister C, J2, and me. We played a long, drawn-out round of Trivial Pursuit.

I am enjoying vacation.

I am on winter break (spring break, but in February, when it is obviously still winter). Today I have: been on a plane, eaten a ton of food (a bison burger, queso dip, homemade mac & cheese, grilled chicken, spinach dip, rye bread, and fried cheesecake), played Trivial Pursuit, drank two bottles of wine by myself, and laughed way more in ten hours than I have in two months.

Now there are two people on their laptops (me and my younger sister), J1 on one of his desktops, except it is up on the projector, and J2 on his guitar. It's a good time around here.

Things of interest I have seen online:

I was going to ask where my icons went, but I realized my paid account must have expired. Boo, no more icons.

Yesterday I went walking in the park in the sun without a coat. Today it is snowing. We weren't supposed to have more winter, damn it! Plus I'm at work and stupid people keep coming in to ask stupid questions, so this is just a bang-up start to the weekend.

HOWEVER!

There are two director's cuts up for the next Supernatural episode, "Heart" which I love for reasons that are obvious if you know what the episode is about.

I don't normally watch the director's cuts, but of course I did this week.

I wish my sister was off Thursday night, that would be a good one to watch together. Hee!

After this episode, I may have to update my Supernatural icons.
escritoireazul: (bones research)
I don't know if I just miss the meta normally or what, but it seems like the latest Supernatural episode just brought out all the good meta from everyone. Even things with which I don't agree, I am appreciating the way they're written, and enjoying the chance to see other people's thoughts.

Tonight I'm (probably) off to a secret (in a silly way) concert, and am currently loading music on my iPod to prepare for it and I have to go get ready to leave shortly, but I wanted to put up some links, in addition to the thoughts I've already posted.

Expandmust I say there are spoilers? )

So, in conclusion, I really like Gordon. More on this later.

Giddy giddy giddy and giggly. I think it's time for bed before I ruin my reputation. Hee.
