This is a fun, funny story told in, well, letters, obviously. Aly isn't my favorite of the Tortall women, but she is quite interesting, and this is a nice continuation of her story, as well as a believable way for her to talk to her father.

Nice to dream, but she had her heart set on the B.S. (now nicely framed in her office, so it was worth it), and her future -- and the future of the economy -- lay in computer science. Theoretical research grants go dry after a few years, but the internet is forever.

Oh, Janine. I love that last line there, and I love Janine here, so comfortable in her world, so uncomfortable in Claudia's.
