Summary:
The contents of her purse fluctuate with the seasons. In the summer, there’s always a mini-can of bug spray, the high-grade crap that’s covered top-to-bottom with warning labels.
Visceral wilderness horror turned into urban horror that is just as oppressive and real and terrible.
It's my favorite time of year: horror and Halloween and fall weather and Trick or Treat.
Below, I've provided some general likes and Do Not Wants, as well as a few notes about why I like specific fandoms and characters and potential prompts. If there is a discrepancy between the general likes and DNWS and the fandom-specific information, go with the fandom-specific information.
I'm requesting fic and tricks and treats. Feel free to mix and match prompts as tricks and treats or across fandoms.
My absolutely favorite things: werewolves, crossovers, and monsters + magic.
You can find me on DW, LJ, and AO3 as escritoireazul.
Likes
+ stories about women, including f/f, gen, and het
+ werewolves, werewolf packs as families, and werewolf alternate universes in any canon
+ Halloween and horror movies (characters watching them, mocking them, living them, whatever)
+ chosen families and adoption stories where adoption is treated as totally normal and adoption = real family and the adoption is not a BIG DRAMATIC SECRET
+ polyam families, threesomes, foursomes, and moresomes, in all configurations (Vs, triangles, dodecahedrons)
+ monsters of the week, casefic, adventure stories, mysteries
friends and family teaming up to save the world, especially on road trips
+ crossovers and fusions
+ kink (female top or dom only except for the biting and bloodplay): biting, light bondage, impact play, rough body play, bloodplay for supernatural characters, fireplay, marking, sensory overload, orgasm denial/controls, pegging
+ weird west AUs: I particularly like the outlaw feel of it, untamed and wild, big spaces with nowhere to hide, big woods claustrophobic around you, danger at every turn (as long as it avoids the magical Indian/savage Indian/white savior bullshit that can come along with weird west and westerns in general)
+ ghost hunting AUs of all types, including this state-mandated idea
Do Not Want
+ characters dealing with racism, sexism, homophobia, biphobia, transphobia, fat hate, or ableism within the story
+ character bashing
+ rape, non-con, and dub-con
+ embarrassment/humiliation
+ animal cruelty or death (except for in The Cycle of the Werewolf or Silver Bullet when it comes to farm animals or wild animals - no dogs dying)
+ character death (unless it is, for example, a character dying to become a vampire and therefore still being part of the story)
+ incest
+ big age difference in romantic relationships (except for supernatural characters), particularly an older man/younger woman
+ a/b/o or werewolf stories with Big Tough Alpha Male tropes
+ pregnancy, including mpreg
+ spiders, especially if there is an art component to the fic (There is a sort of exception in my Down in the Library Basement request.)

When Dawn convinces them to explore an abandoned, maybe haunted, summer camp over fall break, Kristy just might have to reevaluate everything.
Treat two: I wrote a gender-swapped Lost Boys treat for skazka for Yuletide last year, too, and had so much fun with it that when I saw their prompts this year, I wanted to do it again. I did have some concerns that I wouldn't have a different story to tell, but this turned out to have a much different feel than the one I wrote last year.

The fire cast golden light across the long line of his back, warming his pale flesh. He was thin enough the knots of his spine pressed against his skin and the edges of his ribs were a shadow just beneath the surface. When she drew near, he quivered, and she watched the motion flutter down his body. She could stroke his head, sooth him like the animal he was. Instead, she placed one hand on the side of his throat and dug her nails in.

YOU GUYS YOU GUYS YOU GUYS YOU GUYS THIS IS THE CROSSOVER OF MY HEART. I did not know how much I needed these two fandoms to come together until I received this amazing adventure story, and it is just -- I still don't even have words. It is so great, and Cassie's voice is wonderful, and the author made the two worlds work together perfectly, and I love it. You should read it immediately, you don't really need to know much about either fandom, because the author gives you everything you need in the story itself. (You will obviously get more out of the story with canon knowledge, but I think it stands alone just fine, too.)
God, this story is so good. I can't wait to see who the author is so I can read more of their works.

Characters: Claire (16 Ways to Kill a Vampire in McDonalds), Lucy (16 Ways to Kill a Vampire in McDonalds)
Additional Tags: Trick or Treat: Trick, Trick or Treat: Chocolate Box, ToT: Monster Mash, Werewolves, Fluff and Humor, POV First Person
Summary:
I blink at Claire. Then I do it again, more slowly, as if that will make this situation make sense.
Nope. When I open my eyes, she’s still looking at me apologetically, fur spreading across her face.
WEREWOLF FIC. I GOT WEREWOLF FIC. WEREWOLF FIC IN A VAMPIRE CANON. OH MY GOD YOU GUYS YOU GUYS YOU GUYS I GOT WEREWOLF FIC!
This is the sweetest, warmest, most charming story I ever could have hoped for in this canon. Lucy's voice is delightful, and I could not stop laughing throughout. And somehow, the author managed to both write a gentle werewolf transformation that still captures the body horror of it! It's fluff, and yet terrifying in just a few short sentences. I didn't know that was possible!
Seriously, I cannot stop beaming at this story, and I laughed out loud multiple times, making me very glad I'm alone in the office today. It is so much fun, and so adorable, and I love it.

More than 15k words across six stories with one new fandom. My goal is always at least one assignment and one treat with one new fandom involved. This year is one more story than last year, and I really love everything I've written. I can't wait for the recipients to see them! (Less than 12 hours now.)
I have two stories waiting for me, and I am giddy. I don't shake my presents (in fic exchanges or actual, physical presents, either), but there are a number of fandoms I requested which have stories according to the fandom list, and I am excited to read them whether they are for me or not.
Fandom: Trick or Treat 2017
Oct. 26th, 2017 10:04 pmAll of the stories are in fandoms I've written at least one story for in the past, all are more than 1000 words, and all feel like they scream that I wrote them, but I know that's a lot easier to feel from the inside than it is to see from the outside. (Or maybe that's just me, because a lot of people do make great guesses each year.)
I wanted to spend this weekend writing treats and marathoning horror movies, but as usual, writing and day job and social obligations have gotten in the way. Still. Friday night will be horror movie + writing time for me, and I can't wait. Little bit of hard cider (warm), cuddly dog against my thigh, and a werewolf movie on my screen, and I'll be good to go.
And then I must turn to Yuletide. Still love my assignment, trying not to panic that I don't have an outline yet. Self, you don't have an outline because you have been focusing on Trick or Treat all month. Chill.
Fandom: Fic Exchanges
Oct. 10th, 2017 01:08 pmYuletide assignment received, and while I'm waiting on a letter promised in the sign-up, the request in the sign-up itself is so 100% something I love that I'm already delighted. I think this will be a long one, too.
May not be a treat-writing-filled year for me this year, if my assignments keep running long.
Overall, though, it's a good fic exchange season for me so far.
Halloween is my favorite holiday and fall my favorite season, so Trick or Treat is an awesome mix of things I love combined with fandoms I adore. I had a blast the past couple years, and I can’t wait to see your creation.
Below, I’ve provided some general likes and Do Not Wants, as well as a few thoughts about why I like specific fandoms and characters. If there is a discrepancy between the general likes and DNWs and the fandom-specific information, go with the fandom-specific information.
I’m requesting both fic and art and tricks and treats. Feel free to mix and match prompts as tricks and treats or across fandoms.
