[life] Seattle People
Aug. 7th, 2008 01:17 amHey, Seattle (and Seattle-ish) people, these are things I am thinking about doing this weekend:
+ The Seattle Tattoo Expo, which has live music in addition to the tattoo stuff. Specifically, it has Duff McKagan's Loaded on Sunday at noon.
Friday: Nevermore, Murdock, Point One, MOS Generator, Pleasure Elite, Zero Down, Witchburn
Saturday: Nashville Pussy, Throw Rag, Viva Hate, DragStrip Riot, Thee Sgt. Major III
Sunday: Tiger Army, Vince Mira, Duff McKagan's Loaded, Kane Hodder, James Hunnicutt
My goal is to go look at any ocean art and find someone to eventually do this wave tattoo I want, but mostly just to try to enjoy my penultimate weekend in Seattle.
+ Festival of the River, which ALSO has live music. Specifically, it has Smashmouth, who is awesome live. I haven't seen them since 1998, and can't imagine more fun than FREE LIVE SMASHMOUTH.
That's right, did I mention this was free?
Saturday: Billy Joe & The Dusty 45s, Le Roy Bell & His Only Friends, The Knack, The English Beat, Gin Blossoms, Smashmouth
Sunday: Queens Bluegrass, Blue County, Jessica Andrews, Darryl Worley, Kellie Pickler
I'd like to see one of the powwows, too, but mostly I'm in this for Smashmouth (and, okay, a little bit for the salmon bake). Oh, and they have buffalo burgers, so I definitely want one of those. Yum.
If the tattoo expo doesn't pan out, there's always Friday night instead, for less crowds and more just the music.
+ Duff McKagan's Loaded is at El Corazon Friday night at 9 p.m.
Anyone in for any of these? I'm willing to drive, since I'll be going anyway, and have a decent sized vehicle. Just let me know.
See,
thestalkycop? I told you you should have moved to Seattle with me for the summer!
(Yes, I realize the icon is NOT DUFF. Unfortunately, Velvet Revolver isn't playing here, so I can't make it an appropriate icon.)
