J decided, out of the blue, to watch Gotham. J is not a fan of comic books, comic book movies, or comic book tv shows, and yet, Gotham is a thing he wants to watch. Not only that, but he criticizes it for its treatment of various DC characters. It's like he's becoming a comic book nerd himself. I'm so proud of him. (He says this changes nothing when it comes to Marvel comic book adaptations, but we'll see. WE'LL SEE.)

I'm working on my Yuletide requests. I know more or less what I'm requesting in the three fandoms I've nominated, but I'm not sure what else I will request. I'm also narrowing down what fandoms I will offer; there are many I want to write treats, but not necessarily offer. We'll see how this goes. Yay, yuletide.

Spent the weekend with family, and it was delightful. Lots of sibling bonding and marching band geekery. Greatest. Saturday was a marching band competition, and we watched so many fun shows. So much writing inspiration, too.

I am tentatively excited about Gotham after seeing responses to it, particularly this one about the diversity in it. Yay diversity in comic adaptations.

Autumn is a rough time of year in my family, with some painful anniversaries, so it would be nice to have distractions from that. Bring on the new tv season. J is all excited that Sons of Anarchy came back this week, but I haven't watched it in a long, long time. So really, bring on the rest of the new tv season.

(It's not like I don't have plenty to watch. I'm still marathoning Criminal Minds, and I'm about two weeks behind on the wrestling because of it, so I have a lot of catching up to do.)

September is sad. I am sad tonight. And cold. I think I'll go cuddle my dog and watch more Criminal Minds.
