Selena Kyle, omg, how much do I love you already? And baby!Bruce. Baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaby!Bruce. Baby!Bruce and his parents joking around about the show was adorable, even as I'm sitting there going, oh god, this alley is where the shadow of the bat begins.

But mostly, Selena Kyle. HEARTS IN MY EYES.

Precious little Jim Gordon is so freaking earnest. And then ass kicking earnest. And then he's even more earnest with baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaby!Bruce. I'm pretty sure Gordon's theme for Gotham is going to be ALL EARNEST ALL THE TIME. This is going to get old fast, I'm sure.

I'm not actually all that familiar with DC. I've always been a Marvel girl, though I love the Batman movies (all of them, not just the Nolan set). I am really looking forward to reading all of your thoughts on Gotham, because so many of you are DC fans, and will catch things I miss. I love reading about that.

Baaaaaaaaaaby!Bruce's guilt over not doing anything is breaking my heart. I love you, baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaby!Bruce. (Yes, the more adorable kid he gets, the more letters I add to baby.

Baby!Bruce running up to Alfred was adorable, but Alfred himself didn't work for me.

Already NEEDS MOAR SELENA.

RENEE MONTOYA. RENEE FUCKING MONTOYA.

... except I'm not feeling what they're doing to Montoya and Allen so far.

I love Fish already. I ... kind of want to climb her like a tree. And then we have to keep following Gordon away from her to the alley? NO. NO NO NO. More Fish.

Though baby!Penguin was nicely creepy.

Ivy's dad, whose name I didn't catch, doesn't seem too worried about Gordon shooting him as they race across the roofs, which is fine because it is Gordon, but pretty much any other cop who would chase would also shoot, based on what has been shown so far in the pilot. So why in the world didn't he expect Gordon to shoot?

As adorable as I find baby!Bruce, this seen at the funeral had better be the last time we see him, because Gotham should not be about Bruce.

HOWEVER. SELENA I NEED ABOUT A BILLION TIMES MORE YOU CREEPING AROUND ON TOP OF THINGS I ALREADY LOVE SO MUCH.

UGH. Not loving Renee as the angry ex, either. DO BETTER BY HER, SHOW. DO BETTER. Also, I clearly do not trust this show to do things right. Clearly.


Gotham, the city itself, looks amazing, but I am not sure this is going to work as a show, at least for me.
