ongoing help needed

escritoireazulI'm looking for an information source, preferably a someone (as opposed to a site or book, but that would work too) I can ask all sorts of questions about guns. Questions like, "I need [gun a] to do [this], [this], and [this], which gun would work best?" This is for original writing, not fanfic, but I would be so appreciative and willing to work an exchange for the information (writing, editing, something else).
One of my brothers is good with guns, but kind of hard to get ahold of sometimes.
I love Bones, by the way. Each episode makes me happier and I realize I love it.
