movies and rambling

I haven't been very productive this weekend. Off and on, I guess. Nothing at all today. Bought groceries Friday after work, did laundry yesterday, cooked pasta today. I've watched a number of movies. A large number, most of which I've seen before. (So far, yesterday and today: The New Guy, Underworld, The Great Escape, X-Men, Stir of Echoes, Jaws 2, The Matrix, Salem's Lot, and now X2: X-Men United. The only one I hadn't seen before was The Great Escape.)
I thought about watching A Man Apart because it's one of the few Vin Diesel movies I don't yet own, but I'm writing an (incredibly late) back-up fic for the xmmficathon. I don't need to watch X2 (I do own it, after all) but. I like it so much. I know I could watch it later, especially because none of my Sunday shows are on tonight, but I'm already watching it--why am I having this discussion with myself?
(Also, how cute is John when he winks right before the cigarette flares up? I didn't used to think he was cute, what happened?)
I've also been reading through some of the journals of new people on the flist and trying to make Tara icons. I'm failing at the latter a lot. However, the writing is coming along, though slow and I don't know how much more I can do. I still need to put away laundry and maybe do one more load.
I really don't have to do anything. This makes me glad. I had no idea how wonderful having actual weekends would be. This may force me to never work another job where I don't have weekends, but I doubt it.
I noticed my account expired here. I hadn't actually purchased a paid account for this journal, but I bought a permanent account for my non-fandom one (which I've had for manymany years) and passed the rest of the paid account time here. I find myself missing having a paid account on this one, but the whole point of getting a permanent account for the other was to stop paying every year. I don't know.
(New people on the flist, if you are interested in the non-fandom journal as well [which is really quite personal and has almost no fandom at all to it, hence the non-fandom label] just drop me a comment and I'll add you from it, too.)

Date: 2006-01-17 08:49 am (UTC)I like to know people on my flist inside and outside of fandom, because that's just how I roll, so if you'll have me on the non-fandom journal, that'd be shiny. :)

Date: 2006-01-17 10:59 pm (UTC)I have added you to the other journal; I'm actually the same way, and I use this mostly as a place to post publically without giving away too many personal details. A group of friends and I had some trouble with stalkers awhile back, and though I had the lightest of the problems, I went pretty much friends only on that journal, but still wanted to post publically on fandom topics, so I created this one.
