Fandom: Current TV Shows

And by current, I mean shows I am more or less currently watching.
Criminal Minds season fourteen: For awhile, a few seasons ago, I was ready for this show to end, then there was a big shakeup of the cast (and therefore the team itself) and now I am utterly in love with it again. Chosen family! Interesting mysteries that no longer feel quite so over the top just to draw viewers. Spencer getting a twisting storyline that I liked a lot more on rewatch. Garcia/Alvez. All the team feelings.
Agent Carter season two: I'm working my way through a watch/rewatch of the MCU + tv shows (I'm rewatching most of the movies, but I haven't seen many of the tv shows -- also, I'm trying to do this in chronological order within the universe, so you can see how far I've gotten), but have been stuck on season two for awhile now. Mostly because I've been busy, but something about each episode makes me so tense I have a hard time watching more than one at a time. I only have a couple of episodes left, though.
The Good Place season two: Well, I'm about to start it, at least. I loved season one and am looking forward to season two.
S.W.A.T. season two: I'm generally caught up because it is worth it to use CBS' terrible website. There is a particular romantic storyline for one of the characters that is bringing me great joy this season, and on the whole, though I don't normally like police procedurals, S.W.A.T. is doing a pretty great job with police violence, racism, sexism, black anger, and a bunch of other things. Also: chosen family and team feelings!
WWE Raw and Smackdown: I have no idea what seasons we're on, and I don't care. I don't watch every single week, but I watch often. My favorites: Nia Jax, Tamina, Naomi, the Usos, and Becky Lynch, but I'm generally fond of most of the superstars.
Bob's Burgers season nine: I avoided watching this for a long time because the little bit I'd seen didn't catch my attention. Then my pottery instructor had it on in the studio a couple times, I got caught up in it, and now I've seen the entire series so far and stay current on this season.

Date: 2018-12-04 08:55 pm (UTC)Of course, I keep on seeing images of season 9 of Bob's Burgers so I probably will have to start watching it since I don't want to be spoiled too much.

Oh, it's a great show. I feel compelled to warn you, however, that it's on its third season and I do talk about it sometimes. Always with spoiler warnings, of course, but just as a heads up. :) Season two is great, and season three has also been great.

Date: 2018-12-05 10:37 pm (UTC)AND THEN SEASON TWELVE HAPPENED.
I won't go into spoilers, but season twelve brought my love back hardcore, particularly around Reid, who has an intense and painful storyline that season, but it was such a great highlight of what he (and Gubler) can do.
I love the new team arrangement and the dynamics and find the stories interesting in ways they hadn't been for me in a long time.

Date: 2018-12-05 11:41 am (UTC)Story shows I watch are Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. I am a fan of the Marvel Universe, but I have to admit to not keeping up with the Netflix shows because I don't have Netflix. Though I'd love to see The Punisher because I really like the actor.
I have watched Supernatural (but don't actively watch it now, because I'm SO far behind in seasons), and I've enjoyed the new MacGyver.
I'd like to start The Rookie because I like Nathan Fillion, and I love police procedurals. (I also read them.)

Date: 2018-12-05 10:40 pm (UTC)Hockey and football are my big sports, though I like college football better than pro. Who are your teams? Hockey, I'm the Blues (my local team) and the Red Wings (I got attached while I was going to school in Michigan -- the won the Cup one of those years); football, since the Rams left St. Louis, I've cheered for the Colts when I watch pro football, but like I said, college is my big love there, and Michigan is my team.
What do you like about cycling? That's not something I've ever watched, and I'm curious. (I know that question can come across as sarcastic or judgmental, but I don't mean it that way! I'm honestly curious.)

Date: 2018-12-05 11:59 pm (UTC)I love hockey (the Lightning and the Rangers are my favorite teams), and football I enjoy college and pro. I'm a UF Gators fan (have to be, graduated from there), and Pat loves Alabama, so I have to like them, too. (grin) Pros it varies. Except for hating the Patriots. I always hate the Patriots.
Pat is a cyclist, and he got me into it. We once saw a leg of the Tour de France in France. It was the year Greg LeMond won it by 8 seconds, so it was exciting being in Europe and following it. We got the results of the race while in a bar in Germany.
Cycling is technical and it requires massive endurance and suffering. I find it interesting for a lot of reasons. It's fun to watch the "edited" version at night. Otherwise it's hours of guys cycling through the countryside as the announcers resort to talking about the history of the places in order to fill air time. (grin)
But if you don't live with someone who loves cycling, I can see why it would be a curious thing to like.
