fandom: Agents of Shield

I'm trying to finish the last few episodes of Agents of Shield, and I just -- god, why can't this be a better show? I am so, so tired of the white guys being the center of the story the majority of the time, and also, being so damn shitty to the characters of color. Coulson is not excluded from this complaint.



ALSO, FANDOM, WHAT THE EVER LOVING FUCK? HOW CAN YOU DEFEND WARD? HOW? FUCKING HELL.

This show has made me actively dislike Coulson, guys. I spend a great deal of time wanting to stab both him and Ward.


I realize this is a complaint across the board with Marvel, but it just seems so much worse on Agents of Shield. I blame Joss.

Still ALL the love for MCU, though. These characters deserve such great stories. Sam Wilson Appreciation For Life.

Skye is hella distracted by her life becoming a total mess, but I so want to see her totally flip her shit over Natasha basically accomplishing The Rising Tide's mission for them. I feel like that is a gigantic missed opportunity.

Yeah, the show totally eroded any good will I had for Coulson. And don't even get me started on the Ward apologists. The show is just not very good. It improved after Cap 2 came out, but it still has a long way to go to be good.

Yes, there are Grant Ward stans everywhere but no cares about Mike Peterson, who is actually a victim. And yeah, I was fine with Coulson in the movies, but this show makes me want to punch him in the face.

Not watching the show. So if you see fic from me with Coulson, it's movie canon only plus my own thoughts on him not dying.

I still love May and her mother and Skye and Simmons and Mike Peterson and that Ward was a great big murderous asshole traitor. I was never a big fan of Coulson but I have to say this show seems to be actively encouraging me to hate him.
