Fandom: Dance Academy love

I finally signed up for Netflix again, for the first time since Netflix streaming became such a big thing. Oh, man, it is kind of awesome. I'd planned to get Google tv in a few months when Google Fiber hits my neighborhood, but maybe I'll stick with Netflix and Hulu Plus.
Anyway, I've been catching up on Dance Academy. I'd previously seen most of season one (I missed a few of the earliest episodes), and I'm (unfortunately) spoiled for the end of season two, so I never tracked it down until now, but oh, wow, season two is even better than season one.
(Dance Academy is an Australia teen show about elite ballet dancers at the national academy, and it is AWESOME.)
I've always loved the girls, but the boys were pretty boring to me, though they had their moments. But oh, wow, are they developing the guys better this season. Christian in particular has become even more awesome (okay, I did like him quite a bit in season one, but his story with his father, god, gorgeous. That moment when he challenges his father about leaving -- god. And when his dad gives him the surfboard with the number and his mother's name on it -- my heart. MY HEART.
(And I love Christian and Kat. I loved Tara and Christian too, but oh, from the beginning of season one, I loved Christian and Kat.)
Tara's broken back almost ended me being able to watch the show, though. Apparently that sort of sabotage and negligence and abuse from a teacher is something I cannot handle watching. Good god, that whole storyline made my jaw ache, I was clenching it so hard.
Abigail has been amazing in season two. Her anger and her power and her passion and her dancing is phenomenal. I love how people are starting to appreciate her for her anger and intensity, and I love how the first years adore her so much.
Ben and not wanting to be cancer boy and those moments when he gets serious was fantastic. I loved the way he rejected people's pity, the way he dances all out, the way he throws himself all out into his friendships. He hits my embarrassment squick sometimes, but mostly I really like him.
Kat and her short-lived professional career and finding out herself what she loves about ballet and her new understanding about her family -- oh, man, I love it.
And Sammy. OMG Sammy, I did not want to fall more in love with you BECAUSE I KNOW WHAT'S COMING AND IT IS NOT OKAY, but god, Sammy. Sammy and Ollie, Sammy and his younger brother bonding, Sammy struggling so hard to keep himself at the school, Sammy, Sammy, Sammy, how are you so awkward and yet still so utterly charming?
What I'm saying is that even when it makes me epically uncomfortable and even though I know it's going to break my heart, Dance Academy is probably my favorite show right now.
