Fandom: Yet More Glee Writing

I need to get this stupid story out of my head. I woke up in the middle of the night again last night to write more. Now I have 1200 words of unconnected scenes, most of them at least slightly porny. Ugh. At least sotto_voice provides warnings about things that will infuriate me via spoilers. Maybe I can brace myself and watch just enough to finish this story. That has already turned into two stories. Why?

So if you watch Glee, talk to me, people. Tell me your favorite things about Lauren, Mercedes, Santana, Brittany, Matt, Tina, and Puck. Tell me your favorite spoilers. Tell me all the things you hate about Glee. Tell me what you wish the show would do.

Glee opinions! I have them! (Also YAY Puck/Lauren fic, even if you can't figure out WHY you're writing for such a terrible show. *G*)

I love Lauren because she is so damn confident, which is AMAZING to see in a show filled with a) teenage girls, and b) performers, who tend to seek a whole lot of external validation. I love Puck because he is slowly becoming a good person ON HIS OWN, not through ~*~the love of a good woman~*~. I love that Santana is basically the Cordelia Chase of Glee, and could definitely exorcise a ghost with the Power of Bitch. Brittany and Mike have the FIERCEST dance moves, and Mike is also an incredibly sweet boyfriend. I love that Tina has gone from the girl who faked a stutter to avoid speaking to talking about the righteous blade of her feminism.

I hate so much about what Glee chooses to be! I hate that the phenomenally talented cast has to save some horrible writing. (And they can't do that every time.) I hate that the show does not showcase most of its phenomenally talented cast. I hate that the Glee writers are only good at writing about the gay cisgendered male experience, and even with Kurt, they make some missteps. I hate that the show constantly undermines and villainizes its female characters to make Will and Finn look good. I hate AutoTune.

I wish the show would spread the A-plots around. I wish the writers had ever heard of consistency, EVER. I wish for the Brittany/Santana spoilers to be true and not Ryan Murphy trolling (again). I wish for the Fearsome Foursome Friendship of Kurt, Rachel, Mercedes, and Blaine to continue, because they play off each other so wonderfully. (They should also throw Tina into the mix.) I wish the writers would get over their diversity awards and deal with the rampant -isms grossness in the show.

I also wish they would stop receiving diversity awards, because what the hell? Really? REALLY? No wonder we get all the crap when the crap is what is REWARDED! GOD, PEOPLE.

I wish I was good enough at writing cruel fabulousness to write both Cordelia and Santana into a story because that might be the greatest thing ever. Facing down ghosts. Taking down high schools. Ruling the cheerleaders. I cannot even comprehend how good this would be.
