escritoireazulSo, uh, if you saw trailers for Splice and thought, as I did, that it looks like a sci-fi/horror movie -- cheesy, maybe slightly scary at moments, lots of mayhem and genetically engineered monsters, basically a fun movie night movie -- you may want to read this detailed, potentially triggery, and spoilery review/critique. I have never been so happy to be spoiled for something in my life, because if I'd watched Splice based on the trailers and ended up with what that review says, my rage explosion would have been massive.
I may actually still watch it, now that I've been warned, but I'm not sure I want to deal with some of the scenes.
