Big Damn Zombies, Sir by Shrift (Firefly). Hilarious, in character, delicious dialogue. Oh, how I loved it. Zombies! Firefly! Perfect combination.

Just Drifting by twinkledru (Serenity, Buffy the Vampire Slayer). Great Jayne voice--perfect, spot on Jayne voice--and a Buffy I actually, amazingly, don't hate. Pretty fabulous sex, too.

Comfort by kassrachel (Serenity). Sweet, touching ficlet, with a very good, very believable Book.

Of course, any Serenity stories contain spoilers.

Why have I not uploaded any Serenity/Firefly icons?

Big Damn Zombies is one of the funniest things I've read. Kaylee's line about how lovable he was (other than trying to eat their brains) made my nose run with the effort of not laughing out loud at work.

Ha! You're right, it is terribly funny. I'm very glad I work with a bunch of fandom geeks, even if they aren't in my fandoms. They just smile and nod when I crack up over something particularly funny.

I need to reread it again right now I think.
