Supernatural "Heaven and Hell" This title reminds me of The Frog Chronicles, this awesome Lost Boys fanfic series that my friend S. used to write. I miss it a lot.

So when Ruby gets called a coward, she's also a slut. When Dean gets called a coward, that's it, he's just a coward. Why?

Castiel, the "boss" as Dean calls him in this episode, is white. His employee then is black and "off the leash." Because that's not problematic at all. It wouldn't have been difficult at all to cast Castiel as black and the other angel as white.

I really like Anna and Ruby, but oh, man, do I miss Missouri, Ellen, and Jo.

The story is interesting. I still prefer the saving people, hunting things of earlier seasons, but this war between the angels and the demons is interesting. I like war. I like demon wars. The sexist and racist crap is ruining it.

Oh, lovely. We get torture porn with Ruby. Dean gets threatened or tortured or pressured or whatever offscreen. What the fuck is this? (Though threatening to kill Sam is the easy thing to do - I would have done it myself. Sam is definitely his weak point.)

Castiel isn't even that badass. His employee (partner?) just took out two demons while he was on the floor being useless.

Okay Anna exploding into whilte angelic light? That was kind of cool. Though does this mean she's gone for good? I hope not. There's a lack of women.

Sammy's so smart! I love it when he's being clever and tricky. Though if it's so easy to manipulate the angels and the demons, I am not so much impressed with their amazing powers. (I like this plot, though, the powerful beings being manipulated by humans and such. Especially when they are being manipulated by those being used as weapons, as tools.)

I also love words where one dimension has a different timeframe than another dimension. Especially when that one dimension is a hell dimension or a demon dimension. This is one of my favorite things to include in a world. Also the making an offer at the end of each day to tempt away from the pain.

Dean becoming the thing he hates in hell. This is good.

"Family Remains"

Mostly I like this episode. Huh.

In particular, of course, I like Dean's admission at the end, that he liked what he was doing in hell and now he'll never save enough people to make up for it. Definitely a theme I love in my fiction.

I need a transporter so I can just transport all my stuff into my car. I'm looking forward to the roadtrip, but I'm exhausted when it comes to packing and cleaning.
