escritoireazulI love this movie but don't read a lot of fic for it, probably because I find the movie so enchanting I rarely find fic which captures me in the same way. There's a mood, a breathlessness I'm left with while watching the movie, and this trilogy of fic captures that perfectly well.

Date: 2009-04-13 04:54 am (UTC)Dude, I thought I was the only one! I literally loathe his other movies, but the Village? Genius. Gorgeous. Sad. I guessed the twist practically from the trailers, like most of my friends, but I didn't care about the fact of the twist, so much as the lead in, the reasons, the consequences.
I'm so bookmarking this page. I was strolling through, looking for fic and reading your slice-of-life type entries (your neighbors? Are awesome) and found a kindred The village Spirit!
