[tv] Reaper and [weather] floods

Somehow the CW has become my station of choice for next fall. Between Gossip Girl and Supernatural, it was already up there, but tonight I ended up watching Reaper without realizing what it was (I needed background noise while writing), and fell for it. Mostly because of Missy Peregrym, who is awesome.

There are times I really miss living a couple blocks from the Mississippi River. Right now is not really one of them. (Though, to be honest, I miss living close enough to visit the Mississippi, because I'd like to go look at it, as flooded and dangerous as it is now.)

My heart hurts for the people fleeing their houses, their farms - watching their crops sit under water. Watching their lives drown.

Missy Peregrym is in a tv show! Gosh. I don't think we have that show here though.

That's a shame, it was a pretty cute show, and she was gorgeous in it. Though I would have preferred a larger role for her.

Ah, Gossip Girl, how I love/hate you. I started watching it on Surfthechannel when I couldn't sleep, I've finished season one and borrowed Kat's copies of the first five books. I finished them in a week. So, yeah...but I feel almost dirty when I delight in it so much.

Yeah, I definitely feel dirty for loving it so much - but Serena is beautiful and feisty and I really like her chemistry with, oh, the entire cast more or less.

I've avoided the books for years now, though I was sucked into the A-List novels awhile ago. I checked the used bookstore today for the first GG book, but they didn't have it.

The books are...okay, but almost completely different from the show, which I think has a lot more heart.

I'm with you on the Serena thing, Blake Lively is so beautiful. I'm a total Serena/Nate lover...I really love Rufus and Lily too. (I've got this weird thing about old loves...odd.)

I love Reaper, particularly for Sock (though Missy is great too... I adored Stick It). Also, Supernatural (though I'm behind a few eps... they are in reruns now so I'm impatiently waiting to get caught up... don't like watching stuff online really) and Gossip Girl FTW.
