Even though I know I should sleep (four hours in the past forty-eight? Fifty something? I don't know anymore), I'm not all that tired. I am going to go lie down in a moment, but first I had to marvel at this.

I am currently writing LB fic with a movie on in the background and a can of diet Dr. Pepper at my right hand. Add a cigarette and warmer weather, and I'm suddenly reliving my undergrad experience. Freaky.

Of course, back then the movies I watched were on VHS. And I was in a dorm room, so I could smoke inside. And I probably wouldn't be at home writing at this point in time, but later, after the bars closed, oh yes. I wouldn't be working with a cowriter, either, but I would be writing about most of these characters. It's a strange world.

There are times when I really, really miss writing The Protector Series. It was good to always know where I was going with the a series.

I miss there being loads of stories from the PS. I miss the excitement of waiting for one (and knowing that I could get a peak at a chapter, or a hint or tidbit, if I wanted, but never taking you up on it because I wanted to be surprised).

What are you writing? More AYW? I loved the snippet you sent me. Cold and awkward, and friends into enemies. Want more!

Yeah, I was referring to AYW then, though I just spent an hour or so rereading the Woods/LB crossover and it kind of made me want to write more of it, too. That whole Star/Alex thing was fabulous fun to read and write.

I miss your writing, too, exchanging chapters with you, whether of the same story or not. I miss that pressure of, oh, Sarah wrote more, so I have to, too, or I'll fall behind.

Your icon is gorgeous! I don't remember seeing that one before. They look so feisty together, and those smiles -- yeah, they're troublemakers all right.
