I think I've picked the story I'm going to remix. It's hard, because the stories are all so complete. When I choose a story to remix (when I choose a fandom in which to write, even), I look for chinks in it, places I can manipulate and stretch and find something new.

I'm having the same problem. I'm actually a pretty big fan of the author I got assigned, so I'm having trouble finding ways to *improve* on the stories.

But then I started thinking that its not so much about improving as it is making something new, something different.
