That's such a gorgeous line. There are parts of season four and five I really dislike, but on the whole, they make me happier than seasons six and seven. Season five in particular has some lovely moments.
My lower back hurts. Stupid ice and snow. Stupid weather. Stupid cold state.
I need to go somewhere warm over break. It likely won't happen, but I do have that need. (On the plus side, I have a job this summer. Good times.)
I have plans to go drink pink slushy things tonight, but I don't want to go back out in the cold. I would much rather stay here with all my new books -- oh, wait, no, because they're all school related. Boo. However, I have Shrek III and Gracie from Netflix, so that might be fun.
I want werewolves. Suggestions? I want werewolf books and movies and warm fuzzy monsters. Or, well -- no, actually, yes. Warm fuzzy monsters.
I am also craving new graphic novels. I'm thinking it might be time to catch up on Ultimate X-Men.

That might severely depend on the last part you read -- how far have you gotten?
(And I'm always one for comics recs, if you have thoughts about what you like and what you're looking for.)

Date: 2008-02-15 04:32 am (UTC)I don't know so much about monster books, but teenagers -- do you already know about 'Runaways' and 'Young Avengers'? Those are probably the best teen books in Marvel.
If you're willing to try DC, I'm particularly partial to Ed Brubaker's run on 'Catwoman,' especially the "Relentless" and "Wild Ride" TPB's; Holly Robinson, Catwoman's sort of sidekick, is a late teens/early 20s ex-street kid who is in a same-sex relationship. She's quite adorable.
DC also has a manga-esque line called "Minx" (the size of the books is manga-esque, not necessarily the art). Of these, I really liked "Re-Gifters," which is about a girl trying to win a martial arts tournament.
And I've babbled enough, I think. . .

Date: 2008-02-15 01:58 am (UTC)also if you haven't read the buffy novel for oz called oz: into the wild, it's really good. not only did they make it a novel, but you can also get it in graphic novel form too. though oz looks nothing like oz, it's still a light fun read.
movies too huh? cursed is ok, one of the best werewolf flicks i've seen in a while. if you can ever find it there was a show on when i was a kid called "shewolf of london." really cheesy, but really good.
warm and fuzzy monster movie could be "little monsters." it has howie mandel and fred savage from early 80s period. it's kinda like monsters inc. but fuzzy live-action instead of fuzzy graphics.
hope that helped some!
