The (country music -- hey, I didn't choose it) radio station is talking about Aloha!Elvis. Why, I don't know, but I love Elvis, and people discussing Elvis, and maybe they're talking about it because another impersonator is going to do a show around here, which would be awesome.

Oh, they are! OH! It's the show I've already seen, and it was the best Elvis impersonator show ever. I'm going to have to see if I can figure out where it is being held this Saturday and go. If he has the same opening band --

NO WAY! NOW THEY ARE TALKING ABOUT LILO & STITCH! Dude, this radio station loves me. They're talking about how the movie brought Elvis to the attention of the younger generation.

-- I will try to take my parents, because last time the opening band did some fantastic covers of Johnny Cash songs, and my parents should hear it.

I love Elvis. And Johnny Cash. And music. (A week from Saturday I will be at PointFest with one of my sisters. More music! Though probably less Elvis.)

Have you seen Elvis -The eraly days? (The three hour series/ movie with Camryn manheim, Robert Patrick -who was also Johnny Cash's dad!- and Jonathan Rhys Meyers.) It was pretty intriguing.

I have not, but I will try to look it up. That does sound interesting, especially because of the actors involved. Thank you.

Did you see Elvis on American Idol last week? Very cool effect, making it look like he was onstage with Celine Dion.

Funny you should say that about Lilo and Stitch. That movie is the only reason my daughter has any clue who Elvis is, and she likes him now.

No, I didn't, though that would have been a neat trick to see.

I still can't decide which part of Lilo & Stitch I like best, the Hawaiian setting, Lilo's vivacious and pushy character, Stitch himself, or all the Elvis involved. It makes me happy that kids who see the movie are becoming Elvis fans.

(I went Stitch crazy at Disney World. My collection exploded after that trip, there was so much Stitch to enjoy.)

Related but not.

I saw Meatloaf on Dancing with the Stars last night and it made me think of you.

Aw, man, I would have watched it to see him. Damn. What was he doing on it?

He performed two songs.

Bat Out of Hell as seen here (http://youtube.com/watch?v=mgPRWcwAE38)

He also performed a song off of his latest album, but for the life of me I cannot remember the name of the song. It was kind of slow.
