Though I matched with my recipient on Practical Magic, I did check out its (recipient's preferred pronoun) other prompts, and this one caught my attention and would. not. let. go. For a long time, I wanted to try to make it a crossover with the Practical Magic story, but that kept not working, and in the end, I'm glad I went with two separate stories instead, because I fucking loved what this one became.

This was the second fic I wrote to fulfill my assignment, and this is a new fandom for me.
