So really, except for a few general things about the series as a whole (which would have been spoiled on the dvd case anyway--for instance, Cylons attack them, woah, what a spoiler), I went into BSG season one spoiler free, and I am SO GLAD I DID. Because....

OHMYGOD COMMANDER ADAMA!

Punch to the gut, unfuckingbelievable (though, okay, yeah, I expected her to go attack someone or something, but not Adama).

"Kobol's Last Gleaming" is one of the best two-parter season finales I've ever seen. This includes BtVS and--did Lost have a two-parter first season? I can't remember. Anyway, SO GOOD. The politics. And the religion. And the use of their folklore (which also falls under religion). And the characters.

And Starbuck. Starbuck and Six fighting. Hottest thing ever. And Starbuck actually got the shit beat out of her, which I find endearing in a protagonist. And Starbuck feeling so betrayed by the lie about Earth. And the way she relates to all the Adama men.

I am so in love with this show and I can't wait to dive into season two. I'm holding off until I return the last two discs of season one, so I know they are already on the way before I start disc one of season two.

All of you who pimped it to me, thank you. THANK YOU. I love this show.

*beam* And if you think season one was all good and crazy and fucked up...

(no, really. I'm serious about the fucked-up part. You will be hiding behind your couch.)

I can't wait for more crazy and fucked up! Thank you!

Must reposition the couch so it is easier to dive behind. Hee.

Hee! I suppose it's somewhat lucky that the first part of S2 is already on DVD...even if it's a horribly extortionate way to release television on DVD (though still not as horrible as the release of shows on HBO...argh!)

And BWEEE! Yes! This show is Every Aspect of the Awesome! *twirls*

I do agree it's a terrible way to release television on DVD, but as for having the first half available immediately through Netflix, I'm rather thrilled with the whole situation. I won't be so thrilled when I go to buy season two, I'm sure. Meh.

Still, AWESOMEST SHOW!
