Battlestar Galactica the Miniseries thoughts
I. Love. Starbuck. She's beautiful and she just got into a fight during a card game and she smokes a cigar. Kara, I love you.
Woah. I love you, too, mysterious blonde woman who just snapped the baby's neck. You're a Cylon, aren't you?
Hmmm. There is a lot of hot here. I mean a lot. Hot pilots, hot enemies, hot women smoking cigars, hot technology. Hot, I tell you. I have no idea what anyone's name is except for Starbuck, but I like it so far. The build up is a little slow, but there is a lot of information here, and though it feels a little like an info dump, it's not handled too badly.
Yeah, this whole playing god thing is a kink of mine, when it goes wrong as it has here. Nicely done, lovely speech Commander Adama (I remembered a name!), and I'm really interested in the dynamics between Lee, Starbuck and Commander Adama. (I think those are all correct.)
The noise during the air battle, it's so quiet, so muted. I love this style, the sound.
Oh, man, when the woman asks Gaius to read her paper, I was terrified he'd leave her to die--and then Helo gave up his place and my eyes literally teared up. I have no idea why (well, beyond the fact it's been a nasty day anyway), but oh. Yeah, okay, I'm sucked into the story. I wish I would have asked someone to pimp it to me earlier, because this is fantastic fun.
Oh, Helo, I hope you survive, you giving up your seat was beautiful.
Oooh, I rather like Laura Roslin, and now she's president. I love this. Love it.
Not pulling many punches in this show, are they? Dead children and leaving people for the Cylons and emotional blackmail and I really like it.
Hee. I, um, kind of like Starbuck and Lee. I think I also like Starbuck and the Cylon woman, Six. I think I just like Starbuck, full stop.
Hey, do we have zombies on this show? The allergy guy certainly looks like a zombie right about now. Ooooh, Cylon-zombies. I think I want to write a story. Wait, no, of course I don't mean that. I'm not writing in another fandom, I swear I'm not.
Aww, the zombie!Cylon is killing Commander Adama. I quite liked him. Oh, wait, no, it's a comeback for the old man!
I have been watching this for hours, ever since I got home from gaming after work. I need to go to bed. I can barely keep my eyes open. Yet I don't want to stop. Okay, yeah, good times with this show. Good times. As you can tell by my unfocused rambling there. I really want to read more of that Baby-Sitter's Club/BSG crossover Fox was writing. Fun.
Maybe tomorrow I'll have the opportunity to read more Remix. I hope.
