Date: 2019-11-05 04:46 pm (UTC)The CW show is definitely a "oh, we do need a Sabrina-esque show, but maybe without the cannibalism and Satan-worshipping, this will definitely work" and I love that it's had the supernatural stuff added to it. The character changes only work for me because I can see the characters tentatively working their way into friendships, which I like the development of instead of having the insta-friendship which we don't get to see forming.
Also Ned-who-prefers-Nick is still totally gone on Nancy even while everyone warns her off him, and she's a little wary, but mostly gone on him, and I kind of adore that given that I read those books early on and also pretty well jammed on that pairing. I don't remember Ned's buds who were George and Bess' kinda-boyfriends at all, and so their loss is not a problem for me, especially with Ace and his hidden depths.
