Carrie Fisher's death is hitting me hard. She gave me hope RE bipolar and still being a person, someone who can create and do things and -- fuck. Clearly, hard.

Someone said that they were glad it was a heart attack, that it wasn't the bipolar that killed her, because it was proof that she had stuggled with it, that she still did, but that the bipolar didn't kill her. That she beat it. I know it's cold, small comfort, but I'm glad it wasn't the bipolar.

I mean, I think it's cold comfort because she's still dead, and I'm not bipolar, but given the friends I have that are, I am very glad we have one person we can point to and say, "Carrie Fisher looked bipolar in the eye and lived with it every day, and it didn't take her. Thank goodness for Carrie Fisher."
