Fun, touching adventure story that really captures the voices and characterizations from the movie.

The Yellow Wallpaper

The Yellow Wallpaper (the spinning jennie remix) (1703 words) by Anonymous
Chapters: 1/1
Fandom: The Yellow Wallpaper - Fandom
Rating: General Audiences
Warnings: Creator Chose Not To Use Archive Warnings
Relationships: Narrator/John
Characters: Narrator, John, Jennie, Mary
Additional Tags: ghost story, Horror, Gothic, POV Outsider
Summary:

This is a treat for tekuates whose prompts included a version of the story where the supernatural aspects are actually happening.

The narrator's name is not given in "The Yellow Wallpaper," but some readers have interpreted the Jane she mentions at the end of the short story to be herself. So I've gone with Jane for the narrator's name.

This is a gorgeous story, with a slow build creepiness that gave me a full body shudder more than once.

X-Files (Deviations comic)

Life Doesn't Discriminate (Between Sinners And Saints) (1944 words) by Anonymous
Chapters: 1/1
Fandom: Deviations: The X-Files (comic), The X-Files
Rating: Teen And Up Audiences
Warnings: No Archive Warnings Apply
Relationships: Samantha Mulder & Fox Mulder, Samantha Mulder & Dana Scully
Characters: Samantha Mulder
Additional Tags: Character Study, Backstory, Growing Up, Yuletide Treat
Summary:

When a twelve-year-old boy goes missing in a small town with no evidence of foul play, people say he ran away. Boys will be boys.

When he leaves behind the eight-year-old sister he was babysitting, traumatized and talking about bright lights that picked her up off her feet and swearing up and down that he saved her, you'd think someone would at least suggest kidnapping.

But no one ever does.

Fantastic character study of what Samantha Mulder might have become if Fox made sure he was taken instead. Character voice is fantastic.
