Saw this in a locked entry, thought it was interesting. (And I'm indulging nostalgia over all the memes lately.)
1. What kind of soap is in your bathtub right now.
The bathroom I share with J doesn't have a bathtub. In our shower, we have whatever I found on sale that has a scent J can handle. (He has a super sensitive nose.) Right now, Irish Spring bar soap and coconut lime body wash.
2. Do you have any watermelon in your refrigerator?
Alas, no.
3. Is there anything moldy in your refrigerator?
Possibly some old cooked veggies. I need to clean it out again.
4. Are there any dirty dishes in your sink?
Yes. We just finished dinner a bit ago. I probably won't do the dishes until tomorrow, though.
5. What would you change about your living room?
We have two, the great room which is for the whole family and has J's giant speakers and surround sound and project + big screen set up, and the smaller one which is mine and has my furniture and craft supplies. I don't really deal with the great room, but I would better organize the smaller one. The house has been kind of crowded since I moved in.
6. Are the dishes in your dishwasher clean or dirty?
Clean.
7. Do you have a can of mushrooms in your pantry?
Doubtful. I hate mushrooms. There might be some leftover from someone else shopping, though.
8. White or wheat bread?
Wheat.
9. What is on top of your refrigerator?
A couple of bottle openers and some cabinets no one but J can really reach.
10. What colour is your sofa?
J has two different sets in the great room; one is light tan leather, and one is green and red plaid. My set is red leather.
11. What colour or design is on your shower curtain?
There isn't a shower curtain in our bathroom, and I don't know offhand what the pattern is in Sister T and Nephew's bathroom.
12. How many plants are in your home?
None. I kill them, and that depresses J.
13. How many candles are in your home?
I'd say at least 10, mostly minis. We don't burn them often (see: J's werewolf nose), but once it's cool enough we can regularly open the windows, I'll burn mine while he's at work.
14. Is your bed made right now?
Nope. We don't make the bed.
15. Electric or standard can opener?
Nonelectric, but our smooth edges one isn't exactly standard.
16. Comet or Soft Scrub?
Neither, but I grew up using Comet.
17. Is your closet organized?
Ish. We did some big organization when I first moved in, because J had his closet absolutely stuffed with no room for me. Now it mostly stays organized, but I don't stress about it. Now the spare room closet, which J and Sister T share for their excess clothes, I don't even touch.
18. What colour is the flashlight that you use the most?
My phone, so silver and black.
19. What kinds of things are in your junk drawer?
No idea, I don't use it.
20. Do you drink out of glass or plastic most of the time at home.
Glass mostly, though I do have a giant plastic mug I use for ice water sometimes.
21. Do you have iced tea made in a pitcher right now?
Yes, but only about half a glass left. I'll finish it before bed.
22. If you have a garage, is it cluttered?
Yes, and it's mostly my fault. I'm still not unpacked, and most of my boxes are in there.
23. Curtains or blinds?
Blinds.
24. How many pillows do you sleep with?
I have three, J has one.
25. Do you sleep with any lights on at night?
Nope.
26. How many ceiling fans are in your home?
A lot. Two in the great room, one in the dining room, one in each of the bedrooms (so three), one in the spare room (where J and Sister T store excess clothes and I set up my bookcase), and one going up in my living room: 8.
27. How often do you vacuum?
We try once or twice a week, with the dog, but it doesn't always happen.
28. Standard toothbrush or electric?
Standard.
29. What colour is your toothbrush?
Blue and white.
30. Do you have a welcome mat on your front porch?
Yes.
31. What is in your oven right now?
Nothing.
32. Is your microwave clean or dirty?
Probably dirty. I don't use it often. Which is hilarious, because I used to survive off the microwave.
33. Is there anything under your bed?
Currently, I don't think so.
34. Chore you hate doing the most?
Cleaning the bathrooms. I'm worst at sweeping and mopping, though.
35. What retro items are in your home?
... I have no idea. Some of my classic books?
36. Do you have a separate room that you use as an office?
Sort of. The smaller living room is for me to use for whatever I want (though in the summer, it's too hot much of the day), and my books are in the spare room, but I tend to do most of my work wherever the family has gathered.
37. If you have a yard, who mows it?
Nephew mows and J weedeats. I trim the hedges. Usually in a dress.
38. Is there anything on your kitchen floor right now?
Dog hair, technically, though because the dining room is open plan, also the table with its six chairs, the dog dishes, and a giant bag of dog food.
39. How many mirrors are in your home?
At least ten big ones, maybe more, but not counting the big one my dog broke a couple months ago.
40. Do you have any hidden emergency money around your home?
I do not, but I can't speak for everyone else.
41. What colour are your walls?
Mostly white in the shared areas, but one wall in the great room is a gorgeous red; J's bathroom is purple and his bedroom is blue.
42. Which rooms in your house have wallpaper?
I don't think any room does.
43. Do you have a peephole in your front door?
No, but lots of glass.
44. Do you keep any kind of protection weapons in your home?
We have a dog, who isn't much protection unless you also bring in a dog, and guns stored away here and there. I have a bow and arrows in the garage, and we have some throwing knives somewhere. Plus I can kill you with my brain.
45. What does your home smell like right now?
Teriyaki chicken.
46. Fave candle scent?
Peppermint. Any mint, really. Sugar cookie.
47. What kind of pickles (if any) are in your refrigerator right now?
I don't think we have any, but I buy both sweet and dill.
48. Who are in the pictures you display?
In my living room, J has two big collages of ocean pictures he's taken over the years, plus pictures his mom brought us from Hawaii. Sister T has pictures of her kids in her room. There is a Thor shrine in the great room, because for awhile, the best gag gift to give J was some sort of Thor item or artwork. When I'm in my own place, I tend to eventually put up pictures of my family, plus I have a ton of artwork.
49. What colour is your favourite bible?
Right.
50. Do you have plenty of cabinet space in your kitchen?
God no, not when three different homes have been condensed into one. Well, four technically, back when Brother J was still alive.
51. Ever been on your roof?
No.
52. Do you own a stereo?
Not exactly. A computer or a phone is always the source of the music, but we have one hell of a sound system.
53. How many TVs do you have?
I think three. My big one, which isn't set up yet, the little one in Nephew's room for gaming, and one J and Sister T's mom uses when she stays here. None of them are connected to anything but a computer or gaming system, though.
54. How many house phones?
None. Cell phones, Skype, and Google.
55. Do you have a housekeeper?
Yeah, no.
56. What style do you decorate in?
I have no idea. Hold while I hit up Sister K. Sister K says: modern industrial with beach cottage accents.
57. Do you like solid colours in furniture or prints?
Solid colors. For a long time, I had black leather furniture and black and glass shelves and tables and desks.
58. Is there a smoke detector in your home?
Yes.
59. In case of fire, what are the items you would grab if you only could make one quick trip?
Assuming people can get themselves out, the dog (though she's attached to my side anyway, so probably not necessary) and my laptop if possible. Everything is backed up, I just don't want to have to replace it. I hate laptop change.
60. Do you know how to work your electrical box?
Yes.
61. What temperature in your home is most comfortable to you?
J runs hot (werewolf!), so it's always cold in here to the rest of us, though Nephew tends to side with J.
Well wasn't that interesting. As much as I love living with J and family, and am so grateful to have a place to go, I miss having my own space with room for everything and my decorations only, etc.
1. What kind of soap is in your bathtub right now.

Date: 2015-08-22 02:20 pm (UTC)I envy your red wall. Someday I want to choose multiple colors for a house instead of settling on what's already there.
