2 – Name the fandoms you've written in, and how much you've written in that fandom, and if you still write in it.
3 – For each of the fandoms from day two, what were your favorite characters to write?
4 – Do you have a "muse" character, that speaks to you more than others, or that tries to push their way in, even when the fic isn't about them? Who are they, and why did that character became your muse?
5 –If you have ever had a character try to push their way into a fic, whether your "muse" or not, what did you do about it?
6 – When you write, do you prefer writing male or female characters?
7 – Have you ever had a fic change your opinion of a character?
8 – Do you write OCs? And if so, what do you do to make certain they're not Mary Sues, and if not, explain your thoughts on OCs.
9 – Pairings – For each of the fandoms from day two, what are your three favorite pairings to write?
10 – Pairings – Have you ever gone outside your comfort zone and written a pairing you liked, but found you couldn't write, or a pairing you didn't like, and found you could?
11 – Genre – do you prefer certain genres of fic when you're writing? What kind do you tend to write most?
12 – Have you ever attempted an "adaptation" fic of a favorite book or movie but set in a different fandom?
13 – Do you prefer canon or fanon when you write? Has writing fanfic for a fandom changed the way you see some or even all of the original source material?
14 – Ratings – how high are you comfortable with going? Have you ever written higher? If you're comfortable with NC-17, have you ever been shocked by finding that the story you're writing is G-rated instead?
15 – Warnings – What do you feel it most important to warn for, and what's the strangest thing you've warned for in a fic?
16 – Summaries – Do you like them or hate them? How do you come up with them, if you use them?
17 – Titles – Are they the bane of your existence, or the easiest part of the fic? Also, if you do chaptered fic, do you give each chapter a title, or not?
18 – Where do you get the most inspiration for your fics (aka "bunnies") from?
19 – When you have bunnies, do you sit down and start writing right away, or do you write down the idea for further use?
20 – Do you ever get bunnied from other people's stories or art in the same fandom?
21 – Sequels – Have you ever written a sequel to a fic you wrote, and if so, why, and if not, how do you feel about sequels?
22 – Have you ever participated in a fest or a Big Bang? If so, write about your favorite experience in relation to one. If not, are there any you've thought about doing? And if not, why not?
23 – When you post, where do you post to? Just your journal? Just an archive? Your own personal site?
24 – Betaing – How many betas do you like to use to make sure there aren't any major flaws in your fic? Do you have a Beta horror story or dream story?
25 – Music – Do you listen to music while you write? Do you make playlists to get into a certain "mood" to write your fic? Do you need noise in general? Or do you need it completely quiet?

27 – Where is your favorite place to write, and do you write by hand or on the computer?
28 – Have you ever collaborated with anyone else, whether writing together, or having an artist work on a piece about your fic?
29 – What is your current project or projects?
30 – Do you have a favorite fic you've written? What makes it your favorite? And don't forget to give us a link
2 – Name the fandoms you've written in, and how much you've written in that fandom, and if you still write in it.
Ha. Well, if you're sure... This is more or less in the order I first wrote in each. Numbers are taken from AO3.
There are 62 fandoms listed. I'm cutting it.
(1) Buffy the Vampire Slayer/Angel: 61 stories, more than 170,000 words
This is the fandom that started me in writing fic and posting it online, and you can tell. I also love to write crossovers playing off of the Slayers being called, so even if there aren't any Buffy characters in the story, often the world is there. Though I take long breaks from it at times, I do still write in this fandom, more than 15 years after I started.
(2) The Lost Boys: 25 stories, more than 240,000 words
I moved into writing LB fic because of the mailing list, but I have no idea how I first ended up there. We all had a blast sharing stories and talking, and I'm still friends with a lot of them to this day. (Including the Girl, my BFF. We started talking because of LB fic, and it's been a joy and a delight and a wonder ever since.) I'm aware of the two sequels, but my stories only ever take the first movie into account. (This may change at some point, but hasn't yet.) I do still write in this fandom, too; in fact, one of my personal favorite of my LB stories was written for Yuletide 2014 (Temptation, Like a Drum). I have such fond memories of hand-coding LB fic for the archive I used to run. Such good, long stories.
(3) The Mighty Ducks: 6 stories, more than 10,000 words
The Girl talked me into writing MD fic. She was kinda a BNF in it back then. Most everyone was really big on the pretty white boys (including the one played by Joshua Jackson; I didn't find him attractive until around Fringe), so who did I come write about? The Jewish fatty Goldberg (Shaun Weiss) and black fatty Russ (Kenan Thompson). SO MUCH POTENTIAL THERE. Russ in particular was an absolutely DELIGHT, funny and smart and sarcastic. There's always the chance I'll write in this again (I was intrigued by a couple Yuletide requests last year, for example, and I still want to write something great for Julie and Connie), but I have no plans to write in the future.
(4) X-Men movieverse: 9 stories, almost 20,000 words
Pretty sure I was inspired to write XMM because of Keya and
![[personal profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/silk/identity/user.png)
(5) Harry Potter movieverse and bookverse: 9 stories, more than 15,000 words
I ... have no idea why I count these two verses together, when I count others separately, but I've been doing it as long as I've been tracking my fandoms. Weird. I started writing HP fic mostly because of Remix Redux. And actually, I love two of the stories I wrote hardcore, to this day, despite what I said above. I don't have any plans to write more in this fandom.
(6) Ultimate X-Men: 2 stories, more than 3,000 words
I thought I'd written more than two stories. Huh. I really, really love Ultimate!Colossus, and enjoyed as much as I read of the series, but I stopped right around the time I was prepping for grad school and haven't ever caught up. I should do that.
(7) The Fast and the Furious series: 27 stories, more than 40,000 words
I love this series so, so much, and have from the very first movie. I love the characters and their chosen family and their fast cars and their ridiculous adventures. I will be writing more here; for one thing, I'm poking at a sequel to the story I wrote for Yuletide 2014 (From Just One Spark, a fix-it fic because HAN! GISELE! MY HEART). For another, I'm pretty sure as long as they keep making these movies, I'll want to tell stories about these characters.
(8) Pitch Black/The Chronicles of Riddick: 2 stories, both drabbles
Unless I give in to my desire to write WEREWOLVES! IN! SPACE!, I don't think I'll ever write anything else in this fandom, but oh, how I love it. (Even if Riddick, the latest movie not the character, infuriated me at times.)
(9) Mean Girls: 3 stories, nearly 5,000 words
I first wrote Mean Girls fic in order to qualify for Yuletide, back when you had to qualify for it, and I've mostly written fic for Yuletide. I check any requests that turn up each year, but I don't see me writing anything else.
(10) Bend It Like Beckham: 4 stories, more than 6,000 words
Again with mostly Yuletide writing, checking the requests, and doubting I'll write in it again. I still love this movie A LOT, though. It makes me feel good.
(11) Lost: 4 stories, more than 11,000 words
I broke up with Lost hard after what they did to Ana-Lucia, so no, I will not be writing any more stories.
(12) Firefly/Serenity: 5 stories, more than 8,000 words
I actually miss writing Firefly stories for Apocalyptothon. I doubt I'll ever write anymore stories here, but I had an absolute blast doing so.
(13) Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants: 7 stories, more than 13,000 words
Again with the combined source material counting as one fandom. I think it's because I tend to mix book and movie canon fairly easily, but I'm not sure. I don't think I have any more stories to tell about these girls.
(14) Supernatural: 12 stories, more than 16,000 words
For someone who never planned to write a single fic in this fandom ... well. That happened. I broke up hard with Supernatural after I couldn't stomach all the sexism and racism any longer, and then had zero interest in stories about angels. While I'm considering giving everything a try again (and actually started a season one rewatch earlier this summer), I doubt I'll ever write here.
(15) Tamora Pierce's Circle of Magic: 4 stories, more than 8,000 words
I struggle every. single. time. I offer a book fandom in Yuletide, and yet I keep wanting to write them. It's a little surprising I wrote in Emelan, too, instead of Tortall, which is my favorite of her worlds. I grew up with Alanna's quartet and Daine's quartet, but Kel's story is the story of my heart. SO MUCH KEL LOVE. Since this is very much a Yuletide fandom for me, odds are good I'll write in it again in the future. I love Yuletide.
(16) Dog Soldiers: 2 stories, more than 3,000 words
I love this movie a lot, and sometimes I think I have more stories to tell about the werewolves, about Megan, and this is a Yuletide fandom for me, but I doubt it. (Actually, I may request a story about her for this year's Yuletide. Must keep that in mind.
(17) Dead Witch Walking by Kim Harrison: 2 stories, more than 5,000 words
Will not be writing more in this series. Won't even read more in this series. Got rid of all my books.
(18) The Baby-Sitters Club/California Diaries by Ann M. Martin: 13 stories, more than 35,000 words
I do still write in this fandom, though it's mostly a Yuletide fandom for me at this point. I miss the days when short-takes had prompts and I wrote in it regularly, but I don't know how many more stories I have to tell about these girls. And it's always about the girls for me.
(19) Full House: 2 stories, more than 9,000 words
This section in particular highlights how the word count is actually all wonky, because both of these stories are big multifandom stories, where Full House is only a part. Basically, I wrote this because I wanted to make DJ a vampire slayer, and then I suddenly had two stories. I have some ideas for Stephanie knocking around, and I am optimistic that Fuller House will spark even more. I wish more people would ask for this at Yuletide.
(20) Blue Crush: 13 stories, more than 30,000 words
I love this movie so much. SO MUCH. I wish that it wasn't the story about a white woman and a white man falling in love in Hawaii, but the chosen family parts of it hit me hard. SO HARD. I am still writing in this, actually posted a story not too long ago (What You Do To Me back in June), and plan to keep writing, if sporadically, well into the future.
(21) Girlfight: 2 stories, more than 9,000 words
See Full House, above, for explanation of the numbers. I love this movie, and Michelle Rodriguez is wonderful in it, but I've never really felt the urge to tell any stories. (Except for what I wrote, which involved vampire slayers.)
(22) Resident Evil: 2 stories, more than 9,000 words
Same here. I love the source material, have no desire to tell stories, wrote a vampire slayer crossover for
![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
(23) Dawson's Creek: 2 stories, more than 9,000 words
See above, except that in this case, I didn't watch the show, so I had to do a shit ton of research for what ended up being really small parts of the stories. And yet.
(24) Bring It On: 4 stories, more than 10,000 words
Though I don't write in this fandom often, I always look at prompts for it, so I think I will write again at some point in the future.
(25) The Breed: 3 stories, more than 5,000 words
The two main stories I wrote in this fandom, I wrote for the Twice Told ficathon waaaaaaaay back in the day, and it was wonderful. I always consider writing more, because it's really pseudo-werewolves, I've just never found the right story.
(26) Making Out by Katherine Applegate: 3 stories, more than 16,000 words
I mostly wrote this to entertain the Girl, and then Yuletide 2014 turned up the most amazing request for it, and we ended up spending a couple weeks shrieking and delighting ourselves via Skype as we wrote a Treat for it, and then we bonded with people over loving it still. Ridiculous 90s YA FTW. (Nina's Home for Christmas)
(27) Lilo & Stitch: 6 stories, more than 12,000 words
I sat on a story in this fandom FOREVER, writing a crossover with BtVS (that, for once, did not involve either Nani or Lilo being vampire slayers -- I really should write that one someday soon). This is the movie of my heart. It is my favorite movie, ever, displacing Lost Boys when it came out, and I have watched it probably a billion times. I still have a ton of stories to tell about Nani and Lilo and their chosen family, so yes, I will be writing more in the future, probably for Yuletides.
(28) Stick It: 3 stories, more than 6,000 words
Cute as this movie is, I don't think I have any more stories to tell.
(29) She's the Man: 2 stories, more than 6,000 words
Only wrote this because it was a request for a ficathon, and I wrote a part of the story for each of the prompts my recipient gave. I really enjoyed watching it and writing the stories, but don't think I have anything else to say.
(30) One Tree Hill: 2 stories, more than 3,000 words
Another show I didn't watch myself, but did research on in order to write a gift story for a friend.
(31) Pirates of the Caribbean series: 2 stories, more than 4,000 words
Pirates + apocalypse FOR THE WIN. I love the movies, and have read some excellent fic, but it was never a fandom in which I felt particularly engaged.
(32) Twilight series (movies): 6 stories, more than 13,000 words
I am not a fan of the source material, though I think the first Twilight movie is probably the best possible movie they could have made from the book. There was something shiny energetic fun about the vampire siblings themselves, and of course I went: OOOOH KINKY POLY FAMILY and then fic happened. I blame
![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
(33) Jurassic Park series: 3 stories, more than 5,000 words
DINOSAURS, GUYS. DINOSAURS. I thought I'd written more stories in this, but then I realized, no, I ask for them in Yuletide. I should write some more. I'd hoped that Jurassic World would give me ideas, and in a way it did, because FUCK YOUR TREATMENT OF WOMEN, FUCK IT.
(34) Southern Vampire series: 2 stories, more than 4,000 words
I picked up a pinch-hit one Yuletide. I then stopped reading the series, so no, there will be no more fic.
(35) Roseanne: 3 stories, more than 2,000 words
I have a werewolf story and a vampire slayer story lurking in the murky corners of my brain, but other than that, I'm not sure I have anything else to say. (Though, with prompts, like say at Yuletide, it could happen.) Two of these three stories were my attempts to address the final season and the big twist at the end.
I keep thinking I'll write more here, because there's so much to explore with family and siblings and not following in your parents' footsteps, but I keep not doing it. (Well, that's not true; I keep doing it, just in writing that's not fanfic.)
(36) Sons of Anarchy: 5 stories, more than 7,000 words
I really love motorcycle gang = werewolf pack, but I don't know if I'll write too much more here. (Well, there's a giant werewolf AU crossover story that involves characters. I'm actively trying not to write it, because I should probably put that sort of thing toward non fanfic writing right now.) I stopped watching after Opie died, because there was just too much heartbreak. (My mom died, J thought he would cheer me up by showing me the episode with Opie's death. Sometimes, J's inability to understand how human emotions work is funny. This was not that time.)
(37) Never Cry Werewolf: 1 story, more than 3,000 words
YOU GUYS THIS MOVIE IS AMAZING AND RIDICULOUS AND WONDERFUL. I wish more people would write stories in it, though I did get THE BEST story for Yuletide a few years back, after requesting it with no luck for years. (This was the Yuletide after Mom died, and I desperately needed a story like this. Down to You) I should watch it again and write more fic, because Loren is a fantastic, kick ass hero.
(38) Scooby Doo Where Are You?/Scooby Doo on Zombie Island: 1 story, more than 1,000 words
Hahahahaha, oh, this story. I wrote it as a Yuletide treat, and it's the reason
![[personal profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/silk/identity/user.png)
(39) Practical Magic: 4 stories, more than 4,000 words
This movie is so lovely and sweet and warm, and filled with family feelings. I love witches and magic and warm homes, and writing in this fandom is so comfortable and delightful. There will be more stories from me.
(40) fairy tales: Little Red Riding Hood: 2 stories, more than 2,000 words
I'm not sure there will ever be more fic from me, because most of my red riding hood stories end up in my non-fanfic writing these days. Still, this is my favorite of the European fairy tales. I love the imagery and the monsters and the ways it can be twisted.
(41) fairy tales: Snow White: 1 story, more than 700 words
Crossover with Little Red Riding Hood. I'm not a big fan of the Snow White story, so that'll be about all you'll see from me.
(42) fairy tales: Hansel & Gretel: 1 story, more than 700 words
I wrote this as a gift for
![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
(43) Drive-By Truckers RPF Space AU: 1 story, more than 300 words
I had no intention of ever writing an RPF story, but then I wrote a Firefly crossover for a friend. So so so many things I swear I won't write end up being written for a friend. I should stop swearing off things.
(44) Make It or Break It: 1 story, more than 2000 words
UGH THIS SHOW. I want to write a story that fixes the whole poor girl gets pregnant BULLSHIT that happened, but so far, I haven't. I love this show, and I hate what they decided to do, and I am still bitter we never got to see the girls at the Olympics...you know, the END GOAL FOR THE DAMN SERIES.
(45) Dustland Fairytale (music video): 1 story, more than 2,000 words
Again with never intending to write a story based on a music video, then I wrote it as a gift for a friend, because she kept talking up the music video and all the great story ideas. I love the story.
(46) Sparrow Hill Road - Seanan McGuire: 1 story, more than 2,000 words
Yuletide. So much of the list at this point can be blamed on Yuletide. Ghosts + road trips + cars = there was no way I wasn't going to love the hell out of the source materials.
(47) Pretty Little Liars (tv): 1 story, more than 600 words
Had no plans to write incest, and then wrote a story for a friend ... you see? YOU SEE?
(48) Glee: 27 stories, more than 95,000 words
Oh, right, the fandom where I watched exactly half of second season in real time, and managed to write almost 100k in fic before season three started and I rage quit. This is aaaaaaaall
![[personal profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/silk/identity/user.png)
![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
I tried hard to at least finish the marching band AU series, but I rage quit so hard, I can't. Sorry.
(49) Ginger Snaps: 1 story, more than 1,500 words
Werewolves. I think I'm (slowly) trying to write at least one story in every werewolf fandom I consume. ... And if I wasn't before, I am now.
(50) Cursed: 1 story, more than 1,500 words
Werewolves.
(51) Pioneer Trail: 1 story, more than 6,000 words
Yuletide story where I crossed this over with Oregon Trail, with vampires and werewolves and hunters. I love the hell out of this story. (Monsters and Me)
(52) Oregon Trail: 1 story, more than 6,000 words
See above.
(53) Echo Bazaar | Fallen London: 1 story, more than 2,000 words
I attempted a choose your own adventure style story. It didn't work quite as well as I wanted (it was a pinch hit, Yuletide, so I didn't have a lot of time.) I may try again.
(54) Iron Man (movies): 1 story, more than 1,500 words
My last Remix Redux story. As much as I love MCU Tony Stark, I don't have a lot of stories to tell.
(55) Marvel Cinematic Universe: technically 1 story, more than 1,500 words
I counted this with Iron Man because I thought I'd write more MCU stories, and then I haven't. Maybe someday.
(56) Teen Wolf: 1 story, more than 2,400 words
Gift fic about girls being awesome and werewolves. You'd think I'd write a lot more in this fandom. I thought that, too, but I watched the first couple seasons when Mom died, so wasn't in a big writing place, and then I stopped watching.
(57) Follow Me Down - Seanan McGuire (song): 1 story, more than 1,100 words
Yuletide gift fic.
(58) Werewolf (party game): 1 story, more than 1,400 words
Yuletide gift fic, but with werewolves. I love this game. The Girl and I used to play this all the time when Cry_Wolf came out. (Alas, no werewolves in that movie.)
(59) Thunderheart: 2 stories, more than 2,300 words
Again, completely because of
![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
(60) Brooklyn Nine-Nine: 1 story, more than 2,700 words
Yuletide. Added werewolves. I am crap at writing funny dialog, so this will likely never happen again.
(61) Goblin Market - Christina Rossetti: 1 story, more than 2,000 words
Yuletide, but this time, I've been intending to write a story based on this poem since, oh, 2000, when I first read it. I love this stupid poem so much.
(62) Carmilla (web series): 1 story, more than 2,400 words
Yuletide. Added werewolves. I'm pretty sure this is my Yuletide theme every year. Considering a sequel to the story I wrote.
My take-away: IS IT YULETIDE TIME YET?

Man, how delightfully old school. *wanders off to Ao3*
