Fandom: Sons of Anarchy

One of my nieces is watching season six of Sons of Anarchy right now, and J is grumping his way through season seven. Since we'll all be together for the holidays, Niece has convinced me to catch up so we can talk about it. I've seen the first few seasons, but have decided to rewatch them anyway, working my way up. Through season six is available on Netflix. I've just started season one, and god, they're so young and adorable. It's going to be a ride.

(I seriously need to update my icons. I don't even have any SOA icons anymore, and way too many Glee ones, considering I haven't watched since the end of season two.)

I still love Donna and Opie SO MUCH. Oh, my heart. My heart.

we've been debating the watch from the start thing here as well. we stopped watching as it aired at the end of season 5, because I couldn't take it any longer. but now that there's an end in sight ...

and yes, season 1, with the shorter hair and the cleaner cuts and all that possibility... it's definitely going to be a wild ride to the end.

I didn't know either of you watched it! I watched through season three before I couldn't take it any more. What's the end point?

the last episode is now done filming and is in post.

I just keep reminding myself that at the end of Hamlet everyone's dead and I still like the play. Somehow having a closed canon makes things manageable for me.

That's actually a relief to know! That was a canon I was not happy keeping up with while open. I'm good with some of them, but not that one.

I'm hoping that having a closed canon (by the time I actually make it to the last season) means I'll be able to watch it all in this marathon of OMG WTF WHY and be done with it. I love it so much and yet.

I'm also reminding myself of the Hamlet bit. Focus on that. FOCUS ON THAT.

I heard the last ep aired last night. I think I'm going to spoil myself, watch the last episode, and then see about picking it up when everything's on Netflix. Because it's going to be a bloodbath, I'm sure.
