Content: Parental illness and decisions about death.
I'm not even touching on the whole surprise!brain!tumor after losing brother in law this fall and my own maybe-that-can-explain-your-unexplained-vertigo thing, but one of the reasons I fell in love with this (cancelled goddamn it) show was because of Micah and his relationship with his mother, and now she's talking about being ready to die and not wanting to keep fighting and oh, god, yeah, have I been there or have I been there, and recently, too. It is such a hard thing to talk about and deal with and do, and ouch.
My shows are making my heart hurt, clearly. Poor heart.
Still, I am really sad Emily Owens... is cancelled. I was really enjoying it (despite the heart ache).
Finally, BUNHEADS, while having dancers of color, particularly a Black dancer in a solo dance is better than before, SHE STILL DOESN'T GET AN ACTUAL SPEAKING ROLE. This is not an actual improvement.
