Also, I didn't think it was sweet, either. Because a) he was kind of creepy in that Slightly Unhinged sort of way, which I suspect is a direct result of b) shooting the guy had nothing to do with Claire, and everything to do with proving something to himself because of something chick in his past said. Plus, I think there's something very Wrong with 'awww, he killed someone for her!' even if it was true.
