escritoireazulThanks to whoever nominated "Impressive (Unimpressed)" for Sunnydale Memorial Fanfiction Awards round 21.
"Impressive (Unimpressed)" is up for Best Alternate Universe, Best Characterization (Lilah! I was so nervous writing her for the first time, too!), Best Episode Re-Write ("The Wish"), Best Pairing: Unconventional, and Best Slash.
"Impressive (Unimpressed)" was a difficult story to write, even though I was really excited to be writing it. I'd never tried Lilah before, and in fact was pretty sure I couldn't write her. A moment of misreading and I was assigned a prompt I didn't know if I could write and do justice to the characters. Kendra I've written before -- and in fact love to write her, which was why I was assigned the prompt -- but I didn't have a real feel for Lilah.
I'm really glad people enjoyed the story that came from it and in particular my portrayal of Lilah.
(I am up for Best Author, too.)
