Fandom: Scooby Doo chromatic casting

I'm considering writing a short little thing for a thing and maybe making art to go with it, but I'm having trouble casting Daphne as a character of color. I was thinking America Ferrera, at least from a few years ago, might work as Velma, but I'm not sure about Daphne.

Thoughts for either of them?

My mind went instantly to Michelle Rodriguez, but it always goes instantly to Michelle Rodriguez.

If you're looking for a teenager, how about Dana Davis? Or, if you need someone a bit older, Rutina Wesley is downright amazing.

Rutina and America would probably be closer in age, though. You'd have to get someone younger for Velma if you went for Dana.

(And now I'm deeply curious as to the rest...)
