I'm seeing a lot of Glee responses that boil down to totally support Kurt and his dad. I would like people to read this, because it says what I feel way better than I could have said it: In Which I Rant About Power, Individuality, and a Teen TV Show.

From what I've read, Glee has some really shallow writing. This sounds like yet another example. I have no desire whatsoever to watch this show, ugh.

I saw a clip of last night's episode with Kurt and Tina in their Lady Gaga costumes? (Kurt was wearing something silver and Tina was wearing lightbulbs?) walking down a hallway, when suddenly two jocks that I hadn't seen before started bullying Kurt because they didn't like how he was dressed. I thought that was the truest moment I've seen from Glee, showing how the very idea of someone different existing - not even attempting to make conversation or anything, just walking past - threatens other people's sense of security, I guess. And very clearly, these two jocks were portrayed to be in the wrong. (Although, of course, the homophobic nameless black guy got more lines that I think Tina, Matt or Mike have gotten all season. Oh, Glee.) I didn't watch the rest of the episode. It doesn't surprise me that Glee handled the situation between Finn and Kurt (and their parents) badly.
