Finally I have time to sit down and watch at least one of the episodes I'm behind.

Emma and Clay's bedroom is lovely.

I flinched when Clay had to look away during that first cortisone shot. Man, tattoos or not, I am not a needle fan. Also, there's something about badass Clay looking away and letting Gemma take care of him, especially after last episode's fights.

Despite how much I hate what he did to Donna, I love Clay so much, shaking hands and bad decisions and all.

I'm not sure when this happened, but at some point I really started rooting for Tara and Jax. I find her storyline more intriguing the more we see. (Not that I didn't find it interesting before, but it just gets better.)

And her realization that she's Jax's old lady made me literally laugh out loud. It wasn't a good sound, either, it was this sharp bark of hilarity.

Oh, Opie. You're still my favorite even when you're being this grumpy, angry man. Possibly because you're being a grumpy, angry man. That's kind of my type. God. Let's not talk about that.

I love the way they're all friends, despite everything. When they're teasing each other about their bikes and laughing and sharing cigarettes and whatever, I love that. Friendship. (The gay jokes get really, really old, though.)

Oh, Prospect, how long you gonna be a prospect?

Oh, man, I miss the group rides from this summer. I'm looking forward to living somewhere I can ride year round. Not that it will happen any time soon, but someday.

I love how there's this big group of bikers and yet the only ones we ever really see are this tiny core set. Makes me wonder about the stories of the others.

Oh, damn. Poor Gemma and her mask reminder. Though if she doesn't shoot someone soon, I'm going to go crazy. I can't really see Gemma not trying to, oh, shoot that guy in the head considering this is the second time she's seen both his face and his tattoo after the attack. (Isn't it? Or did the previews just show it once?)

I do love how she pulls her gun when that woman is hoking at her and trying to take her spot. How annoying. I've often wished for some sort of weapon on my car when people do stupid things. This is part of the reason why I'm glad I don't have the power to blow things up with my mind because I just might.

Oh, shit! Way to ruin the ride there with your classic fat boy, Bobby! (Pretty ride, though - the scenery, not his bike. I'd like to go ride in the mountains.)

Oh, Chief Unser, don't be such an idiot.

Hey, look, health care issues even here. Nice.

Bounty hunters! Yay! I love bounty hunters. I hope they beat him up some, too. Maybe get his leg infected.

Oh, shit. OH SHIT. Clay can't pick up his bike. You know, there's a little bit of weirdness where I think part of the reason I love Clay so much is watching the decline of his ability to ride the way he wants, which reminds me of my father, while at the same time I find Clay hot as hell, because the actor is hot as hell.

Oh, god, Opie. Don't be so awesome to Clay. Don't! You don't know! Jax is your best friend!

Also, damn, Opie's getting hotter and hotter as this season goes on.

I like the parallels between Gemma and Tara. I hope that Tara doesn't think her way out of something good just because of the differences between her and Jax. (This might be me over-identifying and over-thinking it myself, but I think it's a valid worry.) I also hope they don't have her ruined at her job because of her having a life outside work. We need to see more women who can be successful at a stressful career, especially one that is still very male-dominated, and also have a successful social life.

Oh, look at that, younger people (and Piney, who has his own reasons) rebel against the older ones in power. GEE. WHAT A SHOCK. (Piney and Opie might end up on different sides of this alpha challenge. I'm intrigued.)

You know, I wanted Gemma to do something, but maybe I want her to do it so she doesn't get caught and thrown in jail for it. This is maybe not the right time and place, Gemma dear.

Oh, man, Opie and Jax are gonna fight now. And you know what? Opie has a point. From his perspective, Jax is just pissed at Clay for whatever stupid competition issues they have over who's in charge and family things and such. Maybe if Jax had, you know, given him the important information about the fact that Clay was behind Donna's death, things would be different. I guess I understand Jax's logic on not telling him, but I'm not sure I agree with it.

I wonder if part of the reason Opie is clinging to Clay's leadership is that he can't handle any more change. Not that he's consciously thinking this, but that it's informing his actions.

I call bullshit, Jax. The things you call out aren't always about the club and aren't always only about the club. In this scene, when the camera angle is more from Jax's POV aimed at Clay, the slant of Ron Perlman's jaw is extreme.

Ooooh, finally, Clay's had enough and is issuing threats about Jax bringing up Donna. Or maybe not threats, instead promises. (Anyone else remember when that saying was really big in the 90s? It's not a threat, it's a promise. Been awhile since I thought about that.)

And now another episode. Apparently, Wild Hogs aired before it. It reminds me of my dad.

I've just realized how much I miss the story from beyond the grave coming from Jax's dad.

Hmm. The tension between Gemma and Jax is getting pretty bad, too. How interesting. And at this point, I wonder if

How come my garage doesn't have a guy like Opie working there? UNF. I really like Lyla's hair. What is it that Opie sees in the floorboard of her car that makes him hesitate? I thought it was more than just the broken toy, but I need a new television and that part of the screen was pretty dark. Also, I need new contacts.

OH JESUS FUCK, OTTO! The violence in this show rarely gets to me, but the eye thing did it.

Holy hell, Tara's car is gorgeous.

And holy shit, Gemma! You're not supposed to hit TARA, dumbass. I love how that shows just how tense she is, though, how stressed and frightened.

Jax and Deputy Chief Hale are pretty awesome together. They're both trying to do what they think is best, even though it's really fucking up for them.

Also, this can't be good, Hale recognizing Opie before the explosion. (By the way, not that that was necessarily Opie at his most competent, considering he didn't get away fast enough, but him being able to blow shit up is pretty hot.)

Tara and Gemma bonding in the hospital chapel is my favorite scene of this season so far. Though I would have liked it better if Tara had been more open about what exactly she did to the FBI guy. As in, you know, tried to shoot him to death. God, I love Tara though.

TIG. Step off calling Opie one of us. You killed his wife, you fucker. FUCKER.

Um, obviously I still have some issues with Donna's death.

Man, Jax is a fast mover when it comes to getting club members on his side. I'm kind of impressed. Bobby's got a good point, though, that what's going on with Jax and Clay doesn't happen in a vacuum.

Tara standing up to the hospital about her personal life not being its business is nice, but I don't see this being over any time soon.

Man, how awkward, to have the people waiting to speak with the shrink all waiting together. No wonder Gemma left. It makes her feel weak and on display.

(I could totally get behind Gemma/Tara, by the way. Totally.)

Street brawl! I love how Clay sits back and smirks. All of it, so hot.

Yay! Dead dad talking again! Gemma reading his book is so very heartbreaking. There's so much of her story we don't know, and the glimpses we get are incredible.

Dude! Everyone is having hard conversations. Unser and Hale talking about good cop and bad cop and Gemma is painful but oh so important. Though I do hate that Unser goes against Gemma's wishes. I'm so torn on this.

Hale is interesting. Very, very interesting. I'm glad he didn't tell Clay and Jax about Gemma, though.

Oh, god, Tara is over-thinking it. Thank you, Jax. What's normal anyway? Tara, obviously bad things happen whether the club is involved or not. Hello? Chicago? FBI guy? Attempted rape? Restraining order? Ringing any bells?

Jax is sharing dead dad's book! My heart just squeezed. Crap. I love Jax and Tara. When did this happen? It must be because I can no longer root for Donna and Opie.

Wait, what? You would never put a member of the club at risk, Clay? What about that attempt to kill Opie? What was that?

Due diligence? GODDAMN IT THIS ISN'T A LAWSUIT, JAX. (Sorry. Sorry. Never mind me.)

Wow. Nice, dramatic vote. Though I'm not really seeing how no majority means Jax gets his way. I mean, I do, because in order to act (Clay's side) they need a majority, so default is to Jax, but it still seems weird.

Bobby's little talk about coming to him for the truth and acting to protect the club, that was nice. Really, really nice.

Oh, Opie, what are you gonna do? Good luck - oh jesus fuck, it's going to happen soon, isn't it? The van and the bomb? I'd almost forgotten about it in all the rest of this episode. Nice pacing, I'm enjoying the driving plots all twisting together. (Well, they're kind of all one plot, but pieces of it coming together.)

Hug, hug, and boom. That's what I'm waiting for.

A little slower than I expected. Pacing failed ab it there, but holy shit, CHIBS! CHIBS! (Chance to see Tara being competent!) CHIBS!

Man, this show leaves me tense. It was a lot better when I could watch the whole season at once, if I wanted. This week to week shit is stressful.

Okay, I still hate the way they ended last season and opened this season. I think it's done too often and is a shortcut for true tension and character growth. I still have issues with the lack of women and characters of color. The homophobia and racism and sexism gets to me a lot.

All that said, I still like enough of what's going on to keep watching, because the stuff I do like? I basically love.

From the five billion previews during my show, I am left with this question: Are they ever going to stop making Saw movies? EVER?

Finally, Right Click Drool's current theme is motorcycles. Appropriate, yes?

Has anyone picked up the North Country EP, the soundtrack? Is it a good collection?
