escritoireazulWell, after my anger at the first episode of the season, I'm finally watching the next episode.
2.02 "Small Tears"
From the previews, why is Piney relying on Jax to make it right? That doesn't really make a lot of sense to me based on some of his other characterization.
Man, Chief Unser is looking rough.
Oh, Gemma. I feel for you so much.
Why do people on tv never know their own cell phone ring? I always know exactly when my phone is ringing because I made sure my ring tone was different. Also, if people are like my sister, K., who has different ring tones for different people, lying about who is calling is more difficult.
I've always been a fan of the way Gemma and Tara interact, but them sharing a secret like this is going to be really, really interesting.
Chibs throwing that woman to the floor is fucked up. As much as I love Gemma and Tara, the treatment of the rest of the women really pisses me off.
The soundtrack to this show frequently makes me happy.
Unser setting up the car wreck to explain Gemma's bruises is just - man. He's corrupt as hell, but I still end up liking him - or, feeling sorry for him sometimes, if not flat out liking him.
Oh, good, maybe we'll get to see some more Otto! I like him.
Of course all the guys are there! Gemma, you're their queen, their mother. Of course they are going to rally around you. I know you don't want to see them, but you shouldn't be surprised.
Man, Otto's tattoos look good. Really, really good. I love how Otto loves Luanne and the ways he tries to help her.
Oh, Opie, don't bond with Chibs. Unless you are - actually, Chibs, he kinda is alone in bed, unless they're something going on between you two that we don't know about - anyway. Unless you are making him feel incredibly guilty and then, okay, maybe.
I like when SAMCRO stepping in makes it worse. They think they're so badass and yet they still fail. Though I like that it means I get to watch Opie beat people, but not when it's then on camera. Oh, Opie.
Man, Opie coming around that corner with his gun out and his anger driving him was hot as hell. At least this part of this horrible storyline is fantastic.
I really like the nanny (what is her name? Neeta? If so, the actor is from St. Louis and I find that awesome) though I worry about the casting of a fat black woman in the nanny role - the Mammy thing. I love her character so far, though, and I hope we see more of her and especially more of her relationship with Gemma.
2.03 "Fix"
I kinda love Jewish Elvis.
I'm sure Luanne's glad to be back at work, but wow, how frustrating to have SAMCRO watching all the time.
Jax and Tara are pervy sweet. I like it.
Also, is Jax writing his own book, like his dad did?
Oh, man. The fight between Clay and Gemma is absolutely heartbreaking. And Tara being right there to catch Gemma - god. I'm loving this part.
DUDE! Less than a second and I had the dealer pegged as Chad Lindberg. Oh, man, Fast and the Furious is EVERYWHERE. (Also, Supernatural. So that's what Ash is doing now.)
Gemma trying to teach Tara to fight for Jax is fairly hilarious.
Oh, Deputy Chief Hale, what the hell were you thinking?
Oh, man. Luanne was cutting the club light? Damn. And a prison clause for her being Otto's old lady? This is not going to end well for anyone.
Gemma trying to talk to Clay without actually telling him anything. Painful. Oh, so painful. And Clay awkwardly asking her out to dinner - oh, these two. Even though there are times when I hate Clay so much I can't put it into words, there are other times like this.
Chief Unser's right. Nothing makes sense anymore.
The friendship between Jax and Opie continues to be one of my favorite things, ever.
Where are Opie's kids, for that matter? I'd like to see them once in awhile.
Oh come on, Tara. Don't put up with that shit! Or, you know, violently fuck Jax in the bathroom. Either way. Damn. And the look she shoots over his shoulder when that woman walks in on them - damn. I'm liking dominant Tara, obviously.
Gemma getting ready to read Neeta's bible is a gorgeous moment. And Opie by himself even in the middle of his club - poor Opie.
So I still have huge angry moments about the thing, but these two episodes gave me a lot to like. I need an SoA icon.
