My top ten comfort foods, plus honorable mentions.

In no particular order:

+ ice cold diet dr pepper
+ iced tea, unsweetened, lots of ice
+ white chocolate, in particular hershey's cookies and cream bite-size bars
+ roasted chicken breast
+ good nacho chips and cheese dip
+ a big salad made of spinach leaves, diced chicken breast, pepperjack cheese, dill pickles, sweet peas, shredded carrots, chopped boiled eggs, raw peppers (red, green, yellow), bacon bits, and ranch dressing (Now I really, really crave this.)
+ corn dogs
+ grilled chicken wraps with lettuce, tomato, and mayo
+ fried egg sandwich with american cheese and mayo on white bread (My maternal grandmother taught me how to make this, and though I don't cook, this is one thing I make better than anyone else. Delicious, fluffy, soft--fabulous.)
+ honey nut cereal with bananas on top (I blame my father for giving me honey, bananas, and honey nut cereal when I was a child. My high chair always had one of those three [and also usually a marshmallow] at least once a day, I swear.)

Honorable mentions:

+ friend chicken
+ bananas
+ chopped fresh fruit
+ lemon chicken and rice"

I have diet dr pepper, iced tea, miniature cookies and cream bars, but dinner will be chicken quesodillas, though I really want a big spinach leaf salad now. The Pacifier is on again in the background while I finish the book I'm reviewing for my next column.

I did go out to shop. I still need plain black pants, black strappy shoes without much of a heel, and new trainers for the Florida trip, along with purple nail polish, polish remover, and tweezers. Five plus stores later, I came home with a six pack of diet dr pepper, a cold bottle of diet dr pepper to drink right away, taco bell, hershey's cookies and cream miniatures, and the new Children of the Red King novel by Jenny Niimo (or something like that, I can't see the author's name from across the room). No pants, no shoes, no toiletries. I have less than two weeks. I've been looking for the pants for over a month. I believe the term "crap" is one to use. That or "absolutely out of luck" when it comes to clothes, at least.

I hate to shop. I hate to shop alone. I used to make J. do most of the grocery shopping and even a lot of my clothes shopping (and sometimes book shopping, because I could just give him a list), but he's off in Utah helping his mother redo her basement. So I had to shop alone.

I'd better get back to reading, and watching Vin Diesel be gorgeous. Don't mind me, my Vin Diesel lust has been high lately. Higher than normal, and I'm not sure why, but I'm not going to complain.

Never be ashamed of the Diesel lust. I don't think many of us are capable of resisting all too easily.

Now if only I could give him a script and remove independent thought...bend him to my will alone!!!!!

I'm not so much ashamed as overwhelmed sometimes. Not that I've not had lust for other people, both on an abstract scale (actors, musicians, etc) and on a local, specific scale (though also usually people who are actors, musicians, just ones I personally know), but wow. He's very addicting, isn't he?

Hee. I love your Vin-megalomania!

My Vin-megalomania dates from Pitch Black, the first fandom I ever actually (ahem) exposed myself in with fic. *blushes* Seriously...how bad IS it when you write cheezetastic "Riddick & Wolverine meet in a bar" fic?

I think a lot of what keeps me going "Guh" is the man's voice. My knees go to mush with that voice. It's the sort of voice that makes you want to beg a man to read your grocery list!
