Fandom: New Moon movie

Sick, so very sick, but too dizzy to lie down anymore. Urgh.

I keep seeing adverts for the New Moon movie that go (more or less) like this: Some will try to destroy her. Some will rise to defend her. But only one will risk everything for her.

So let me get this straight. Edward tries to kill himself by public sparkling and that's risking everything for her?

This is going to be bad. I mean, I didn't expect it to be good, but considering I think Twilight was the best movie they could have made from the source material, I expected maybe so-bad-it's-good. I don't think that's what will happen, though.

Fandom: Yuletide 2009

Dear Yuletide Author (or anyone else wanting to write me a story),

Yuletide is one of my favorite holiday traditions. I love Yuletide and the excite it generates and the creation of fic. I want you to have a wonderful time writing the story and to tell the story you want to tell. That's what's most important to me.

Okay, so maybe you want to know more about my requests! First, they are in no specific order. I love each of them the same. Second, in general I like women being awesome, bisexual characters (particularly women) treated with respect, happy and healthy polyamory (or at least negotiated and open poly, since one of my favorite threesomes involves a brother, a sister, and their girlfriend - though this is a V not incest - which can be a little twisted, especially with their canon), characters of color treated with respect, people having adventures, werewolves, crossovers, and apocalypses. For Yuletide, I love happy, fun stories. I dislike misogyny and Man Angst, especially White Man Angst.

I love motorcycles and mechanics and beaches and surfing and Hawaii and Washington state and woods and camping and full moons. My favorite time of year is October 1 through February 1 because it encompasses all sorts of things I love, from the month long festival that is Halloween movie marathons and Halloween episodes of tv shows to spending time with loved ones and openly talking about what makes us thankful at Thanksgiving (though Thanksgiving itself, highly problematic) to the December holidays with all their lights to birthdays to New Year's Eve. Good times, even though I hate winter and the cold and snow.

I like all ratings of fic. I like both gen and romantic stories. I like bdsm, particularly with female tops. I'm a big fan of boxing and watching people hit other people (and, uh, reading about people hitting other people, as would work for Yuletide). I'm a big fan of Vin Diesel and his voice. Unf.

I adore crossovers, the more twisty and complicated the better.

I just want to say again that I will love your story. Like I said, this is my favorite time of year and Yuletide is a huge part of that. No pressure! I always love the stories I receive and I really, really want you to have fun with it. Promise.
