[writing and life] JOY
Dec. 20th, 2008 12:16 amI am DONE for the semester! Which means I am halfway done with school! I am also halfway done with my Yuletide story, which, for the night before, isn't that great, but whatever, it will be done and posted on time. I may get snowed in here, because it looks like tomorrow is the only clear day and I will NOT be ready to leave tomorrow (the cleaning and packing fell to the wayside because of finals), but I am confident I will get out.
It still doesn't feel like it's time for the winter holidays.
I have to figure out how to transport my lucky bamboo with me. The vase it's in is slightly oddly shaped, and so it won't fit into my cupholders. The other plant that must go with me can sit flat in the backseat, but I don't know about the bamboo. I'll figure it out.
I think I'm off to bed shortly, because I'd like to get up nice and early to finish Yuletide, pack, and clean. Maybe I can get out of here tomorrow afternoon. Once I get far enough south, I don't mind driving at night.
Three weeks off with very little to do, and no hard core deadlines after Yuletide. I don't even have to job hunt this year. (Except that I desperately need a part time job and should probably stay here for the break and find one starting, oh, tomorrow, but whatever, I'll deal with that at some point.) It's an incredible feeling.
