Is there a ten step program for Jurassic Park addictions? I knew it was bad (I quite often have movie marathons with all three movies) but I'm now watching Jurassic Park III for the second time TODAY. In fact, it's for the second time in less than six hours.

Not to mention, that silly, fluffy fic I just wrote for nikitangel? I've already started a sequel, and it is angsty. WHY? Why can't I leave the fluff alone? I amuse myself.

I believe it is the velociraptors I love most about these films. Well, and hotass Malcolm, but he's not in this one. Though the Billy/Alan is pretty fabulous. Billy's kind of a badass.

TBS loves me. They played Jurassic Park III twice, Tomb Raider: Cradle of Life twice, and Tomb Raider once. There was at least entertainment during my insomnia and the time I spent stretched out on the bed, whining to myself about how I hate this level of sickness, where I'm not sick enough to just sleep through it, but I don't feel well whenever I move. It's such a boring time.

I also managed to finish a couple books I loved, so that was good.

Now if only I could write.

[fandom] In Plain Sight

So. In Plain Sight premieres on USA shortly, and I am super excited about it. I hadn't even heard about it until Friday night, when I lounged around on my sick bed watching television for the first time in ages. Between then and now, I've heard so much about it that I'm thrilled and really hope it lives up to its potential.

We shall see.

I don't know if these movie marathons are typical - I certainly don't remember television doing such fun things this often, and I've only not had tv for less than a year, but I am thrilled by it. This afternoon was the first two Pirates movies (and, let me tell you, I still love Ana-Maria and Tia Dalma, despite all the problematic parts of the movies). I also left my suite for the first time since Friday and went to the store. Then I drove around, up the mountains a bit.

It's gorgeous here. Absolutely, unbelievably gorgeous. I need to start walking and exploring more after work, and next weekend for sure I will get out and do something fun.

(Hee. The last time I marathoned these movies was last summer, when nikitangel and I watched them in preparation for the third movie. We had such fun.)

Yay! The show is starting! Maybe I will have a new fandom!

Um, I may actually get sucked into So You Think You Can Dance while I have television this summer. I just saw a preview, and it actually looks like it might be fun. I enjoy watching people dance.
