meeting Billy Wirth at the St. Louis International Film Festival to see MacArthur Park

shisaiyan reminded me I've never posted about meeting Billy Wirth here. When it happened, I used to have it up on my website, but host changes and redesigns lost the page. For anyone interested, I'll talk about it here, cut to spare those who could care less. It's not a really long story, but I might gush about the movie I watched, too.

xmm ficathon whinge

I really have been trying to process Serenity and put together something concise to say about it. It's not any easier after a second viewing, so I may have to just ramble and let that be it. However, the xmmficathon stories are due this week and mine is still floundering. I think I'm going to go put on X2 and try to beat this story into shape. I have so many ideas, but they are not gelling together and I think I may have to start over again.

I knew I should have just stuck with the pairing I was already comfortable writing, but this just cried out to me. If I could make it work, I would be so, so, so excited.

Damn you, [data embargo = Pyro]. Why won't you talk to me? I know [data embargo = sleeping on ice] and [data embargo = masturbation while thinking of Bobby] will work for you, if you'd just stop sulking and let me get your voice down. Why are you so hard to write? I've never had this much trouble, even when writing Ultimate!Colossus, and let me tell you, he was difficult.

I think, after this, no more ficathons for me, even though I've had a great time this year with the other three (was it only three?) I've done.
