So I'm listening to the local classic rock station, as I often do, and then, over lunch, they start a Weird Al marathon. That's all fine and good, I love some of his songs, but -- Weird Al? Classic rock? Really?

I don't believe it.

The 80s rock has become "classic" rock.

I refuse to believe it. It's bad enough 80s fashion has been gone long enough to come back in again, but now 80s rock is classic rock? No way.

(So this is how my sister felt when, in the 80s, the music she loved was considered classic rock.)

does this mean that 60s rock is ancient rock? Ack!

I hope not! I still have a hard time thinking of 60s rock as classic rock, it's certainly not ancient rock!

You know, I really sort of think of it that way.

Much as I love the 80s, that music isn't "classic rock".

That music is "80s music". Jeez. No need to lump non-current bands and trends all into one category.
