I always save prompts, too, but I rarely write them. I think I have written maybe two treats since 2008 when I first heard about Yuletide. One was for the woman who wrote my first Yuletide gift, an amazing story for a favorite scifi book, both of which I still reread. I think she liked it? Even if she didn't, other people did; it was such a rare fandom that I still get an occasional comment on the story. The other story I wrote for a friend and I know she didn't like it because her comment was the perfunctory sort I know she makes for fic she doesn't like. Whoops. Very Awkward. In retrospect, I wasn't thrilled with it either but it is my most popular story ever so I can't say I'm sorry to have written it.
