I will unironically acknowledge that my space/spaceflight obsession has completely changed the way I look at life and the universe, especially the future (because I operate under the default assumption that Real Life is a prequel to Star Trek.)
Yes. So much yes. I go sit in the dark under the moon and stars when things in my brain get the worst, because that is just -- so much bigger than me, than us, than anything and everything. There's just so much out there, and yes, it sucks that we'll probably not be traveling to it during my lifetime, but it is there, and just knowing that helps.
I'll be talking about this more in a later prompt, but I have a constellation tattooed on my calf to remind me that there is more than this life.
That vid is one of my favorites. It makes me tear up every single time I watch it. Every time.
