Summary: The pieces of their family are scattered and sharp, but Letty can see them shine in the darkness where land meets water meets sky.

2. "like a star across the sky"
Summary: Letty’s a shooting star, but Mia knows stars fall and their light fades.
3. "the moon and the sea the only constant"
Summary: The moon and the sea are the only constants in Mia's world, but the moon changes each time it rises into the sky. The stories of their loves could be constellations in this new world, but the stars have already fallen.
