fandom: movie, movie, movie

I am really looking forward to seeing the Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants movie. However will I make it until June? (It is opening in June, correct? I believe so.)
Oh, wait, going to see Serenity at the end of the month will be one distraction.
I squeed at work. Since I'm fairly new at the office, they weren't used to that aspect of me. But I managed to find out, buy tickets, and arrange for
impatienke to attend with me. We'll be at the Kansas City, Missouri show, so if anyone wants to meet up before the show, maybe for dinner, let me know. Squee is more fun in a group, I know.
Other than that, life has been crazy. I want to say happy birthday to
shisaiyan and apologize because life has been so hectic, I haven't had time to write any of the things we're writing together or the (not so) secret (now) birthday story. It will be late (obviously), but I did think about you. I swear. Happy birthday!
J. is trying to encourage me to make vids. As if I don't have enough on my plate. He's very convincing, though, and he keeps providing me with shiny things to use.
I've beenr eading X-Men again, voraciously. I haven't reread Ultimate (for the hundredth time), but I did read the run of Uncanny I have and I'm working my way through New. I found out I'm two graphic novels behind on the Mystique line, so I ordered them, because man oh man, how much do I love Mystique, a crazy, sexy woman with a (lot) of guns? I can't find the words.
I've been writing a lot, but not enough, obviously. Only three days left and maybe ...
OHMYGOD, Hurley is on BECKER! HURLEY! HURLEY HURLEY HURLEY HURLEY!
J. noticed first. I'm going to remind him of that fact the next time he teases me about watching the show. (Also, he's finding songs for me to make vids for Firefly. He claims he's not a geek.)
HURLEY!
Oh, sometimes the squee is so intense it hurts.
HURLEY HURLEY HURLEY HURLEY HURLEY HURLEY HURLEY HURLEY.
I've barely started here and it's already time to go curl up in bed and read the next New X-Men graphic novel. I love my new job, but sometimes these early mornings suck.
