[meme] first and last lines

I feel like shit, I can't find my mobile phone, I'm super dizzy, I missed going shopping with [livejournal.com profile] raz0rgirl, I'm not at the football game because I feel like such crap, someone is smoking outside my living room window (and not just cigarettes, I don't think), and the lock is broken on the main door to the building. It's been a great day so far.

So have first and last lines of the stories I posted so far this year.

The alpha and the omega. )

Trends? Well, I like to reference the beginning at the end. I also like to do last lines as short lines in a paragraph all their own for most dramatic impact.

Now back to searching for my phone and trying not to throw up.

[fic rec] Lilo & Stitch

[livejournal.com profile] _beetle_ and I are no longer the only people I know writing this pairing in this fandom! Excellent!

[livejournal.com profile] _beetle_ wrote another story in her Lilo/Myrtle series: "The Thirty", in which Myrtle finally goes to ask out Lilo and the two girls are absolutely adorable and sweet and so in character it makes my toes curl.

[livejournal.com profile] were_lemur wrote a Myrtle/Lilo drabble based on the prompt "voice."

[fandom] more snarky Twilight crack

So as [livejournal.com profile] raz0rgirl and I were discussing the other day, we have invested way too much time in Twilight and its fandom for all that it isn't a fandom either of us claim. I'd call it my anti-fandom, but that's not quite right, either. I don't even know how to explain it, but the crack is awesome.

So on that note, here are more Twilight good cracky times.

[livejournal.com profile] stoney321 is recapping the series with commentary on the Mormon influence, which I've been desperately wanting to read. Book One | Book Two. (More to come.) There are pictures and details and it is hilarious.

And THEN [livejournal.com profile] cleolinda is recapping the parts of Midnight Sun available on the author's website, and apparently Growing Up Cullen (you remember, where I fell in love with Emmett) is pretty much CANON now, thank god.

Part One (More to come.)

I cannot wait for the movie, because I cannot wait for more of this delicious snark.

In other news, I am no longer in Washington and I really miss it.
